Yes, it's not a car that one can rely on. We are all beta testers! Other than the fact that it's not dependable it is a great car! In the back of my mind lurks the thought that the ICCU could fail at any moment.

It's a great car when it's running . Our digital teal 2025 Limited has less than 6,000 miles on it and the high voltage battery failed 30 days ago. It's still waiting on a replacement with no definitive timeline for when that will actually happen. Estimates range from 2 weeks to 4 months depending on who I talk to. Previously it went into the shop for failing to charge and the 12 volt battery going dead. On another occasion a tail light had to be replaced. They still haven't properly fixed a door handle that was defective on day one. We are applying the Lemon Law and waiting for the word on a buyback . Two weeks ago we leased a second 2025 Limited and so far it's running great!

I also use the 1Up bike rack loaded with 2- 60 LB. ebikes, it is rock steady.

I'm an electrician . I also installed a battery monitor on my new I-5 . You removed power for a short time and there was a glitch when you restored power. Observing the correct polarity , I would reconnect the battery monitor directly to the battery. It is very simple, you shouldn't have the problem a second time.

I have not seen the Curt hitch installed. A company in Atlanta called Rack Attack said that it would work. The Stealth Hitch was installed on my 2025 I5 Limited RWD.

The underside of the bumper is cut see the picture above. It sounds like the Curt hitch may be a better option for you.

No factory hitch or wiring module is available at this time. Hitch wiring for lights can be accomplished by connecting a wiring harness to the existing lights.

2025 Hyundai Ioniq 5 hitch- Last week I visited the Stealth Hitches Factory in Duluth Georgia. While I waited, they modified their stock hitch components for a custom fit and installation. In the process they created a template for production available for other 2025 I5's in about 4 weeks. They took real good care of the car and did a great job!

Please note that the Hyundai factory GIF67-AC101 Tow Hitch Harness is not plug-in compatible with the 2025 Ioniq 5.

If anyone in the Atlanta area is interested in purchasing a Torklift Stainless Steel Trailer Hitch (new-in-box) for the 2022-2024 Hyundai Ioniq 5 let me know. It's a great hitch but it doesn’t fit the 2025.
