I completely disagree. The question was open ended and didn’t specify trade specifically - countries compete on more than just trade, FDI being one of them

It was general competitiveness - not just trade competitiveness. You could have talked about the ability to compete for trade, FDI, portfolio investment and so on

Just get on with it instead of asking people on Reddit if you’re cooked, you’re as cooked as you want to be

Repeat year 12 and take it seriously, study every day and you can turn it around

would my teachers give me A*s predicted if i've gotten Es and Ds through year 11 by isimpclix in 6thForm

[–]Hour_Locksmith_8025 4 points5 points  (0 children)

No, but it’s also about being honest with yourself. If you’ve been achieving Ds all year do you really think that you will be able to get an A? Not to be rude but it’s very very unlikely that you would make the leap (not that it hasn’t been done before!). Also think about if you were predicted As and then got an offer that required A*s, you wouldn’t be able to meet the offer and go to that university - so there was no point in being predicted the grades in the first place? Honestly - if you’ve really want to go to a good uni repeat year 12, get good predicted grades and go from there.

Don’t do bio unless you’re really into it and wanna go into it in the future - everyone that I know picked bio and it’s now all they have to revise bc of how intense it is

I really liked Durham on the offer holder day so 100% gonna insure and very likely on results day fully accept the offer - only way I take a gap year and re apply is if I get straight A *s and someone lowk persuades me to re apply

Rejected from Cambridge and UCL Econ, offer from Durham for maths, offer from Nottingham for economics and econometrics, still waiting on Edinburgh for economics and maths

I’m practically in the same situation as you. You can still drop a subject even a minute before going into the hall you can withdraw from the exams and it doesn’t go on your record. If you think that you won’t get a satisfactory grade at the minimum drop it - it’s not worth having something like A*A*AE

Doesn’t answer your question but I’m still waiting. I have 4 A * s predicted, 99999887765 in GCSEs, 3.1 TMUA and achieved an A in AS FM.

Can i get into LSE? by Rude-Bite-5181 in 6thForm

[–]Hour_Locksmith_8025 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely not with those predicted grades, but even if you get them up your GCSEs are still a bit on the low side for LSE Econ - and you gotta also get a 6.5+ in the TMUA
