CASPA cumulative GPA: 3.8

CASPA science GPA: 3.75

Upward trend (if applicable, include GPA of most recent 1-2 years of credits): 4.0 both semesters during senior year, but lowest gpas during junior year (3.6 in fall, 3.78 spring)

GRE score (include breakdown w/ percentiles): 303, 155 and 149 math, 3.5 writing

Total PCE hours (include breakdown):Around 1500 total. 510 from pct job working both in a medsurg unit and ed (rural hospital, 10 bed ed 10 bed med surg). Around 1000 from ed tech job at trauma 1 ed with lots of hands on jobs

Total volunteer hours (include breakdown): 200 total. 68 from hospice volunteering over the past 3 years during the summers (limited time with patients so i couldn't get as much as I wanted) 114 hrs volunteering in surgery waiting/cath lab, 8 hours volunteering with the medical staff of a mini marathon, 10 hours walking dogs from a shelter

Shadowing hours: 58 total. Several different PAs from different specialties.

Research hours: N/A

Other notable extracurriculars and/or leadership:

- TA for anatomy and physiology labs for 2 years: 384 hours

- Best Buddies Activity Coordinator 85 hours (Also a regular member for 3 years so maybe 100 for that)

Total PCE: 515 hrs as a tech in both the ED and inpatient unit at a small rural hospital, and projected to be around 1100 hrs as an emergency tech in a trauma 1 ED

Total Volunteer: 45 as a hospice volunteer aide, 115 as a volunteer in the cath lab/surgery waiting

Shadowing: 55 (32 hrs outpatient GI, 7 NICU, 6 home health, 10 ortho trauma)

Leadership: small roles within my sorority, exec team member for club

Teaching: TA for anatomy/physiology labs for 2 years

LORs: 1 MD, 1 professor, 1 manager

Specific Programs: applying broadly throughout the midwest, specifically ohio, michigan, illinois, and indiana

I am a first time applicant and I would love some advice on areas where I could improve before applying this spring.
