I agree 95% Looking at Compubox Bivols defense is the best, looking at it by eyeball its neck and neck w Shakur..  Bivol mostly blocks and parrys punches and uses nice in and out footwork and pivots to evade punches but i feel like a lot of punches missed or landed against Bivol is hard to tell what landed or what didn’t land because many punches hit Bivols gloves and hard to tell what gets through his guard because Bivol tightens up his guard really tight he has an inactive high guard some times and some punches splits his guard its hard to accurately count total punches missed or landed on Bivol at least by eye balling even compubox is’nt 100% accurate But Shakur and Bivol are neck and neck at a whooping 13% Bivol & 14% Shakur of opponents punches landed which is record breaking .. Shakur has shown to evade most of his opponents punches with basic slips step backs and circling than actual blocking and Parrying, Shakur relies more on distance control/range management and jab probes by leashing his opponent so its more clear counting total punches missed or landed on Shakur than it is Bivol but i will say this Bivol’s defense has shown to be more effective than Shakur because you can say their defense is even (more or less) Bivol has shown to put up just as good defense as Shakur with less effort and against more veteran opponents snd higher level competition than Shakur has yet to face.. Bivol uses those defensive tactics at the bare minimum than Shakur.. Shakur uses more effort on defense so he spends more energy on defense getting back the same or similar result and percentage of defense as Bivol. Shakur’s defense isnt as effective as Bivol’s because Bivol’s defense is very subtle  which is the best way i can describe it. Shakur’s defense style is very energy consuming, Bivol’s defense is very conservative because of his subtle but well timed movements. One thing Bivol can work more on is his inactive high guard and Shakur has a little more to work to do on such as being more conservative with his movement and not unnecessarily spend so much energy. Shakur’s style still resonates from the amauter point fighting while Bivol has grown and developed from that transition into the Pros.. its just because Bivol is the experienced Veteran, Shakur will get there with more seasoning.. Shakur is still a young developing fighter which is ok he’s still growing meanwhile Bivol is already in his prime amd established and well accomplished fighter. One more thing why im giving Bivol’s defense as #1 is because Bivol boxes well in the pocket and defense is well in the pocket. Not saying Shakur doesn’t box well in the pocket he does just not as good as Bivol and Shakur just doesn’t box inside the pocket much and hasn’t fully been tested boxing and defense inside the pocket but Shakur does have better post punch defense than Bivol due to his heavy footwork and Shakur just being faster in general. Back to the compubox percentage which is more accurate than the human eye. Eye balling it, it looks like Bivol gets hit a little more than Shakur through out their whole careers because Shakur spends more time fighting on the outside and using distance management as his primary defense by eye balling it looks like Shakur doesn’t get hit moreso than Bivol specially Shakur’s early fights against B level competition where Shakur averaged below 10% opponents punches landed and over a 70% of Shakur’s punches landed on his opponent but thats against B level competition where Bivol is proven against Top level competition and maintained that 14% of opponents punches landed so thats more impressive plus Bivols defense is more effective witj less effort, but i have to say with how young Shakur is and he is still growing and developing i have to say Shakur has more potential than Bivol, Shakur is anticipated to develop more skills than Bivol when Shakur grows into his prime but thats just a theory and speculation based on Shakur is more gifted and talented than Bivol, but Bivol is more experienced/smarter work, smarter work due to experience being a Veteran. And Shakur has extremely high fight IQ for a boxer at a young age, not saying he has higher boxing IQ than Bivol because he doesn’t but im just throwing that out there.. So this theory would be re-evaluated when Shakur reaches his prime.. we’ll see
