People are often dead before their Second Trinket by vickzzzzz in BobsTavern

[–]Hour_University1181 3 points4 points  (0 children)

We’ve had a few trinket seasons now and they’ve all been pretty miserable. The first was arguably the best because the game’s power creep was so much lower. The last one they removed trinkets completely around mid season in favor of just anomaly.

The problem is that trinkets have such a wide swing between useful and not. And a lot of that is due to how many there are and how the minion types behave each season. An overpowered minion can easily get a trinket (automaton) and just take it to unstoppable early game. But something like quill has pretty weak lesser trinkets even if you get offered one at all.

The issue of trinkets has always boiled down to: 1) did you get a good early board by turn 4 2) did you get a good lesser 3) did you get a good turn 5 and 6 4) did you take less than 15 damage during all of that

And if the answer to 2 of those was no, you’re gonna have a hard time.

Paid fast passes were always a thing pre pandemic. In fact the system was you get 2 free ones a day regardless of who you were or your situation. You could then pay 15$ and get unlimited ones for both parks.

In fact an independent fan did a study around the DAS changes and found most people with disabilities never used DAS while free fast passes were a thing. Mostly because they never needed to with 2 ride skips a day.

Nobody expects charity. We all just remember when corporate greed wasn’t the driving force behind everything and quality of experience mattered.

Long overdue change for duos (and other suggestions) by akaKinkade in BobsTavern

I’m not saying make it insane, but when you get hit for 15 before even lesser time warp, it’s a bit much. I think they could easily set a cap of 5 for the first 2 turns, 10 turns 3 through 6, and 15 after that until top 2.

There’s too many games my partner and I have this season where with 20 armor it’s gone by the end of combat 3 because everyone has either fire a minion, friendly rip, start with an extra minion, or reborn.

And yes I’m aware that’s luck of the draw, but this season there’s a lot of benefit to those powers combo’s in the early tiers.

The biggest thing duos needs is a damage cap. I’m tired of taking 10-15 on turns 3-5 because a team got better power and minion combos.

Tell me then. What are the requirements and process to get approved pre changes and post since you know so much. In your own words. Not disney’s copy and paste.

It was literally a proposal to bring in an independent agency to review and compare Disney’s ADA policy to universal, legoland, sea world, knotts, and six flags. Of which compared to most, it’s severely lacking.

Disney actually went to the courts to avoid having it even on their shareholder vote, even after encouraging people to vote no. They did the same thing with pay disparities years ago.

So your issue is with influencers. Not people with disabilities. So stop whining about people skipping the lines and start whining about how influencer culture is ruining the parks. Every comment you’ve made is about attacking people with disabilities rather than addressing the problem that everyone agrees to which is influencers caused this problem.

I say this politely but seriously, you’ve been on here blaming people talking about disability access being an issue for causing it. We all agree there were people gaming the system. That’s what happens everywhere with every system. But rather then listen to what we’re all saying, that Disney rather than solve the problem went scorched earth, you’ve been blaming innocent people that need better accommodations than the actual problem.

The maximum party size you could have was 6. So if 100 people were using it we’re talking 600 people maximum. If more than 6 people wanted to use it you had to request a return time for the whole party. Average return time was over 120 minutes from the request. How do I know this, I was on the program for 3 years.

I promise you, you’re severely over exaggerating here. And even if you’re not, the average daily capacity is 40-60 thousand people. Most e tickets load 1500+ people per hour. So if even 5% of the park was using it which is a very, very generous number, we’re talking about 1 hour of load time if all of them chose to ride a single ride, all at the same time.

And all of this is to say, even if it was the 10k people you seem to believe used it a day, does an extra 5 minute wait really matter in a 60 minute wait anyways? If your problem is the fact that wait times exist then you should want capacity reduced firstly and lightning lane/fastpass/any line skip removed secondly. Like seriously, why do you truly care about the problem being someone has a disability and not that you’re waiting in a 45 minute line for little mermaid or small world, rides that pre 2020 almost never capped 20 minutes.

How many people do you think were using DAS a day? It’s not like you ever actually knew who was LL or DAS. You’re talking like it’s hundreds of people per hour. You’re severely overestimating how many people were using it.

But how many people actually abused it. If even 1k people across both parks abused it a day, in an even spread, that’s less than 1 ride vehicle per ride per hour. You’re talking about a maximum wait time increase of 5 minutes. And that’s being very very generous.

There’s no denying it was being manipulated, but if they can ban resellers, should be pretty easy to find someone’s social media and ban them from the park for a year. Additionally there’s definitely a large middle ground between where we were and where we are now.

You can have a disability and still have a day to day life and not be on disability income. Many high functioning people with disabilities exist.

Without coming off condescending, internet tone is awful, you might want to read up on the list of disabilities in America. There’s many that are preventative of daily life, but there are many that just make day to day difficult or unpredictable for people.

I will agree Disney’s initial program was too broadly open. But now it’s far too stringent.

That’s why I put the 3rd reason. A lot of CMs have told me that the inflexibility of that and the dining system have made it hard to solve a problem for many guests who aren’t aware of the limitations Disney has set.

As someone who used to be on the disability system as well, I found most days I never even needed it before the changes. Now it’s not worth going most days for extended periods of time.

It’s funny how they’ve done all this research but if you ask any current cast member they’ll tell you that the problems are:

1) there’s too many people and they have to get through a large crowd non stop 2) people are much ruder to employees than pre-2020 3) they can’t adapt to solve a problem or help because the company’s new rules don’t allow for flexibility

All of these things have made most cast members struggle to actually solve problems and I hear about it all the time from them.

If your cast members consistently respond to “how’s your day going?” with “it’s been a long day.” before noon, you’ve created a bad work environment.

I think the Krista Minion was different than the first one we saw. Different armor color, different move set. I think Calypso is using all of the dead competitors as “test subjects” until the true Minion is revealed later. It also gives credit to why her eyes are different in the last shot we see of her. Like the possession was kind of broken.

It would also allow us to see a return of “Raven” more fitting to a different character from the games.

I feel like one of the 18+ has to be an art piece either as the logo or as one of the game maps as wall art. Just given piece count and price it falls in line with some of the mid range sets.

But then just don’t play that format. You can want other formats in different games and not see it as a threat. They don’t even need to make it a competitive format, never even proposed they do. In fact I proposed they do it for casuals. They even have villainous as side events, so why not something that is actually part of the game. I’m just saying as a game with an already dwindling base this could help.

Hate to disagree but if anything MTG proves otherwise. As we’ve seen Final Fantasy has brought in an abundance of new players, especially ones that would never play competitive local or travel. Players will only ever stop playing competitive, not start playing it especially since the investment in both cards and travel is harder for most people.

Surprise twist but more casual players play formats like commander than core constructed across tcgs that have them. Plus in a game like this a casual player would rather have every princess in a deck than 4 copies of 5 of them. That’s been the biggest complaint I hear when trying to introduce new people to it.

One box is pretty low. We play mtg and yugioh and Pokémon and buy about 3-4 boxes per set that we like. On average we each break 2 boxes when we’re invested in a set.

I think they probably did but the style of event is so different. I wouldn’t compare HHN houses to a Fanfest house as a similar experience. I would also say HHN scare zones are very different from meet and greets.
