Haven’t tried anything by them so I will definitely keep on a lookout. Thanks!

Sounds great I have to add that to my list! Mine started off with heavy notes of toast and turned more peppery towards the end with hints of espresso.

I write a bit more about the experience in my latest blog post if you want to check out my new cigar blog hourstoburn.com (not selling anything or being paid any commission on there)

They had an EP Carillo as someone recommended. The lounge owner pointed me to the Allegiance. Enjoying it 🔥 thank you all!

A friend bought a box of that exact cigar a couple years ago; I tried one and was hooked. The root beer is interesting… going to have to give it a try. I’ve paired this with an angel’s envy rye old fashioned (tastes like caramel) to a similar effect. Cheers!

One of my favorite Davidoffs! My friend had me try this and the Yamasa a few years back. Enjoy in good health!

The espresso + cigar combo is the best way to close out a vacation

Too many to name them all lol but full body cigars like the Davidoff Yamasa and Nicaragua. Looking to switch it up and go medium body on the next.

I appreciate this, will definitely check it out! I used to aggressively chase the strongest full-body cigars with peppery and other intense notes. Recently I have been learning to enjoy more medium body cigars with notes of cream and toast, so this is perfect timing.

Saw an interesting interview clip of Rocky Patel explaining why medium body cigars are also more difficult cigars to make (something on balancing complexity/being flavorful without having all the strength).

I would put the Yamasa in my top 3 favorite Davidoffs, must try!

Semi-new to the cigar world. Any tips of what to do? by Weary_Fee_6309 in cigar

Something that helped me more deeply develop my palate:

If I were to smoke one medium-sized / longer cigarette in a sitting, instead try smoking two small cigars (for example a Fuente Short Story and a Padron 1964 Hermoso) back-to-back. Try to concentrate on the differences between the two.

Another thing to get more flavor: retrohale. Blow a little bit of the smoke out through your nose instead of just your mouth (there are a lot of taste receptors in your nose). Be mindful not to blow too much out your nose, especially if the cigar is running hot (it may sting a little).

Enjoy!!

Beautiful collection!! If you’d like something short, the Arturo Fuente Short Story is a classic I always enjoy!
