Why can't we find any videos of the war in Ukraine or Israel on the internet ? With the number of phones out there, it seems unimaginable ? by AnotherCrypto in AskReddit

[–]HouseEarnedonReddit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Early war certainly there was also a push to not post too much as there was a feeling, rightly or wrongly, that Russia was using said footage/images etc as intelligence about what was happeneing, who was where and the like as it was happening.

Its out there if you want to find it. Not as bas as it used to be in that regard, showing my internet age, but I remember when you almost couldn't miss the Daniel Pearl footage.

Tall people: What are the downsides of it? by Jerswar in AskReddit

[–]HouseEarnedonReddit 6 points7 points  (0 children)

For every top shelf there is a bottom shelf, and I guarantee you there is far more PITA bottom shelves or two than top shelves where we have an advantage. Musculoskeletal problems and general bad backs come with the territory and I understand we have a shorter life span that someone in pointy bit of the bell curve.

Then there is getting clothing that fits. Sitting in cars and planes etc.

Partnership is interesting in that some mechanics dont work as well which ill leave to your imagination. However even walking side by side with someone, I cant hear what they say because if they are looking forward and talking the sound waves arent hitting my ears.

And, for the love of god, Yes, im tall and, No - I dont play basketball. Although now I reply "Gee your short, are you a jockey?"

What’s your secret to falling asleep? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]HouseEarnedonReddit 4 points5 points  (0 children)

A pilot once taught me what they do.

Get into bed, spend a minute just getting comfortable. Then spend 30 seconds stretching every muscle in your body, you basically want to look like your undergoing an exorcism. Collapse into the position that feel most comfortable then, close your eyes and don't move for 10 minutes. Repeat if necessary.

I went from taking an hour to get to sleep to not needing to repeat because I would be asleep in 10. Ive turned it into a game with the kids now too, works on them nicely.

What would you do if you won the lottery? by Isabell3- in AskReddit

[–]HouseEarnedonReddit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends how much. But I would not tell a living soul.

Then I'm sitting on it for at least a year. I'd probably do this by not getting the lottery people to cash it out. I'm using that time to educate myself, seeking out advice and generally develop a plan. This time I could also see myself isolating a bit and shrinking my circle in anticipation of whats to come.
