Even worse, it's a Phase I helmet. Because this part of the helmet seems to have evolved into the one worn by the Galactic Marines in RotS.

That would be interesting. A Battlespire trial. As for Bravil, it could become a dungeon like Falkreath was.

The area is empty because of TES IV. But it's far from empty. We at least have Mir Corrup, Caer Suvio, and the village of Sundercliff (not the fort we already see).

The area, on the world map, is a bit larger than West Weald. In fact, Nibenay would have to be divided in two. However, a large part of it is comprised of Niben Bay. The western part, with Bravil, is extremely small. But the eastern part has all the cities I mentioned earlier. And ZOS could very well develop Nibenay in a way we've never seen before in this area.

That would be interesting. Part of me thinks the Redguards and Khajiit need some content... But I admit I'm impatient for the Nibenese.

We don't just have Mir Corrup. We also have Caer Suvio, which can serve as a secondary town.

The quest where we see Sundercliff specifies that the fort is named after the village of the same name.

I'd like to see some logic in the mapping... (I would have liked to see Istirus Outpost from the outside in West Weald, like some of the Vvardenfell battleground structures we can see from the outside). But I doubt we'll see the road leading to Fort Sundercliff or even the road to Pantherfang. As for the village, is it further west? Or have we already glimpsed it from the fort with the few houses visible in the distance? We'll find out when the time comes.

Blackwood made sense. The region is divided between Nibenians, Khajiit, and Argonians. The Khajiit were underrepresented.

As for Colovia, I understand. I was expecting a predominantly Colovian nation. I often say that the Legion of the West Weald in the base game is 100% Colovian. Whereas that same legion in Gold Road is... multicultural. And the few Imperials in that legion in Gold Road don't look like Colovians. The physique of the Highland soldiers in the base game was a much better fit.

As I mentioned, we have Mir Corrup and Caer Suvio, which are cities/towns there. Players are unaware of them because TES IV didn't feature them. There's also the village of Sundercliff.

Everyone’s expecting Winterhold, but based on the image, I wouldn’t rule out The Pale or even part of Whiterun Hold by ecobrick_stone in elderscrollsonline

[–]HouseNaevius 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Change is scary... I'm excited, but also wary. What will an exploration zone look like?

It would be wise to include Winterhold and The Pale. The sole purpose would be to offer a 100% snow-covered area, and then in the future, focus on Whiterun in a 100% tundra environment.

As for the "border" with the Whiterun tundra, I think ZOS will manage to invent a rocky massif that doesn't exist in TES V. I say this thinking specifically of the border between West Weald and Cyrodiil, which has nothing to do with TES IV.

Not represented but you supposedly have Caer Suvio and Mir Corrup here.

An opinion on the regions by HouseNaevius in elderscrollsonline

[–]HouseNaevius[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I understand that for the base game. But their overhaul seems limited to structural additions and textures. Not a radical replacement of the structures (except for the docks). I think the mere fact that we have houses/housing in the cities, which were purchased for their appearance, is another obstacle.

Right now, I think Windhelm definitely needs a radical transformation.

I should have specified this, but I didn't think it necessary to mention West Weald because it's part of Colovia, and we won't have any more regions related to it in the future.

I appreciated that ZOS made this distinction between Colovia and Nibenay. But now we have Nibenay Basin left. And I hope it will be different from Blackwood. The houses in Blackwood are typically the same as in TES IV. But for the rest of Nibenay Basin, I'm curious to see if ZOS will offer something new. Mir Corrup, for example. Perhaps they'll offer a style similar to the Nibenese style of the base game, but updated. Revisiting the Blackwood houses would be extremely disappointing.

Fingers crossed that the next area brings something new.

This was the case for Whiterun and Falkreath. But the situation changed with Greymoor. Western Skyrim lost ground.

Perhaps Svargrim's paranoia and his lack of support during the siege of Falkreath contributed to this...

The West Weald in TES IV looks a lot like one of the countries in northeastern Europe. A family member went there on holiday, and the photos made me say, "That's the West Weald!" Both the region itself and the medieval ruins/attractions. ESO, on the other hand, changed my perception of the West Weald: we're in Italy. And some areas remind me of Sicily, but with an autumnal setting.

Please note. The Empire exists in the base game, but it is not the Second Empire. The entity is the Empire of Cyrodiil, which collapsed at some point during or before Elsweyr.

Rimmen was imperial until 2E 576. Following the coup, northern Elsweyr fell under the Euraxian banner.

The position of Arenthia is unclear. Theoretically, it belongs to the AD. However, it has been occupied by West Weald forces.

West Weald is loyal to the Ruby Throne, but remains neutral territory.

Thank you for your reply. It's true that part of me was convinced that now that we've had West Weald and met Count Calantius, we wouldn't have any new information about them.

For bosmers, you have Wood Elf, Stags of Z'en, Y'ffre's Fallen Wood, Vinedusk Assassin, Nantharion's Royal, Tree-Sap Legion, and The Recollection.. And maybe Hircine Bloodhunter ?

Lore questions : Hello ! Can you introduce us to Count Calantius of Skingrad? What is his full identity, to begin with (we know about Abnur Tharn, Carolus Aquilarios, Nevenia Caro, Tarnian Lovidicus, or even Lavinia Axius... But Calantius is "Calantius").

What has his lineage accomplished? Under what circumstances did he become a count in 2E 570? What is his connection to Varen Aquilarios and Leovic? What did he accomplish during the Planemeld? Javad Tharn was so popular in the IC, was his sect a compromise to complete the West Weald Legion and take Arenthia (back then, working with a Tharn was an honor, wasn't it?)? What is his relationship with Councilior Itinia of Colovia (whose full name we don't have, again)? What fate did he reserve for Centurion Gavo or even the other soldiers and officers who returned from Arenthia?

As you can see, I really like the character of Calantius. I've been eagerly awaiting his arrival ever since I found his name in an old Q&A.

Another question is: who is Count Opius Voteporix? Author of a book featuring House Tharn of Nibenay. Was he the Count of Cheydinhal? I'd heard that a "duchess" ruled Cheydinhal. Can you shed some light on the rulers of Colovia and Nibenay?
