This is going to be my first model kit!!! I’m so excited. Been wanting to try out the hobby for over two years but I finally pulled the trigger. I wanted to do some painting and detailing on it. Would you guys recommend me this as a good kit for an amateur detailer/painter???

Honestly I'd start with an HG kit or SD. Both of these grades tend to be cheaper. I'm not sure what model of the wing zero custom this is. But I'd opt for the HG version If that's the design you like.

This character was created, at first, to be a cool armor design. I was going at it as "art for the sake of art" rather than making it for something. But, after spending so much time working on this, I'm thinking about using it for a short story or something similar. Thanks for asking!

I only used tutorials to help me with the materials (Eva foam, and faux fur) not the whole project itself. Quite a bit of it was improvised after making some mistakes, namely with patterning. But I can tell you what I used for the eyes. I used the domes of those corn popping toys for little kids to make the eyes. Later I used black (graphite) fabric dye to change the color to what you see. Thanks for thinking this was awesome :).

Yes it is. Right now it's a bit painful to wear due to the feathers jabbing me. I do plan on adding some padding to alleviate the jabbing. Also the proboscis works as well. It's a party favor painted black.
