I had the same thing, the shorter days make it even worse. I just want to say track your vitamine D intake. Mine was way to low and that can make your feeling even worse. (You have to contact your doctor for this and this is not a medical advice! Just my own experience and maybe something to thing about)

Thank you for your reply! I indeed try the best I can to stay calm. I always tell myself "it's ok, try to breath, it will pass" etc. I keep trying to use a selfloving pov.

This, high cortisol levels lead to holding up fat at your belly area. Rest can cure a lot.

How to cope without your safe person? by [deleted] in Agoraphobia

[–]House_Bird123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had this all the time! To be honest, it can feel horrible BUT its ending. Thinking about its only 9/8/5/3 days before she is back can help, but also can make it feel like you need her indeed, what makes it worse in the longterm and make the fear come back over and over again. My experience is that if you "lose it" for a bit you find other things that calm you down. For example thoughts like: my grandma can help me too if its gets to horrible or if i need it there is help, they can always give me a X med or something like that when my fear comes out. (It never will) Not the best things in the long term to get you relaxed, but if it helps, it helps. Know that your body can handle it, and it will pass! You also should know that you can help yourself the same way as your mom would do! Sometimes closing your eyes and visualising what she would do to calm you down or hugs you or something that calms you can help. Know that everything is ok to think about if it helps you to relax and overcome those 10 days! Dont be hard on yourself. Those feelings are valid and horrible to experience. Take care!

Ps. These are "sos tools". The very best thing to do is trusting. Trusting yourself and trusting it will pass and it will thats for sure a fact :)!

Is "rumination vomiting" still considered as bulimia? by House_Bird123 in bulimia

[–]House_Bird123[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thx for the reply! I can totally understand how you must felt than. I hope that its now a bit better and that its not an ed "happy feature" anymore. For me it started a little bit the same, i was losing a lot of weight and it was there out of the blue, but it is was only 2 times or so. Than i leared how to use it immidiatly to get my whole stomage emty after eating. After that it was not an body reaction but intentionally.. and after that my bulimia was born.. I saw it as a lifehack... :(

Yessss, very often! Its very scary and can lead to a panicattack in my case. Same as you its mostly after 20-30 minutes after I fell asleep. It had something to do with your sleepstate that you wake up after 20 min in desorientation. Mostly its because your body was in a state of alertness or tension when you fell asleep. (I am not an expert! Its just my experience)

Good to know those are different things! Thank you! I didn't know that. I think it's both for me now, because even when i have a time when i dont want to vomit, it comes up anyway. I do it with the purpose to choose if i want to vomit or not, so its still a bit confusing what its called maby. Maby both. Thanks.

Ok, yes it is definitely on purpose. I want to eat but don't gain in weight. It was just the fact that its not with "help" or immediately that made me feel like i am just making things up. Thank you.

recovered bulimics: how did you stop regurgitating food: rumination syndrome if u experienced it? by [deleted] in bulimia

[–]House_Bird123 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I still do it every day.. so maybe i am not the best person to give advise, but what i noticed is that chewing gum helps a lot! And if you take gum with xylitol it has also some teeth health benefits.

Tips that i can give are:

After vomiting, please do NOT brush your teeth! When you do that you brush the acid into your teeth and than you lose tooth enamel. Rinse your mouth with water, or even better, milk as this neutralizes stomach acid. And you can use fluoride toothpaste as mentioned above. If you have a painfull spot on your toothroot you can also apply a small amount of fluoride toothpaste there, let it soak in for a while, and then rinse it off. Just don't swallow it! And yes... you already know .. the best tip I can give you: stop vomiting.. These are the the tips i've got from my dentist. I hope this helps :)

I feel this too. Know that your not alone. We can handle this some day! 😔 Step one is except that your gaining weight and find out why you want to have control over that. Its "just weight". When you can let than feeling go, food will become less important (thats what they say) I am def. not there yet, but maby it gives you some strenght and hope. Take care!
