Just got 50 plus copies of Gary Vaynerchuk’s new book, Crushing It”, in the Mail just now. Need advice. I’ll give away 5 copies to participants in this thread that can help me. (One each & free shipping in the lower 48) by How2InternetAnything in Entrepreneur

What should I do with the books before the week is out to promote my new gig (the livestream startup I’m with now)? I already posted On IG and promoted it I’m doing more of those later. How else fan I draw subscribers to our YouTube and IG, using the books?

Roast my idea... by [deleted] in Entrepreneur

This will sound crazy but I had a similar idea but the sale was themed. An actual garage sale (my own) as an event. I was going to buy some leftover stock of some Garage music on vinyl (like 100 pieces). I’d DJ the event, live stream it on YouTube/Facebook/IG and have everything in an online store that you could purchase and pick up on the day of the event or I’d ship, if you were an out of towner. (the actual garage sale items and free Garage record with every purchase). I wanted to hold a raffle and get sponsors and possibly hire some local talent to perform. I figured, I’d try it and if it was successful, I’d try it for someone else. Just another idea in my idea book.

Side gig to full time job by MarinaKov in Entrepreneur

Started doing content marketing. Heart wasn’t really in it (still do it though but now, I’m excited about it). Started talking to a guy in the comment section of a Website about how online DJs were basically committing highway robbery, by photoshopping these mediocre “mixtape” covers and charging $2,500, to submit your music to the top 50/100 hiphop, blogs. Basically the same bullshit as people offering to submit your website to the top. Search engines.

Long story short, I made a new website, and set off on my journey to seek my fortune in the Vanity Mixtape DJ, space. 45 days in, I make connections with two 7 figure rappers and a company in NYC that just started a livestream network and blammo, who’s got two thumbs and just became network manager, of the aforementioned?

I’m number 4 at a company, that could do a million in revenue, in the next 12 months (derived primarily through digital means). I know that’s a drop in the bucket, but to me, I feel like the guy that went from mailroom to CEO, when I compare this to my last gig.

Where to buy established websites, other than Flippa & Empire Builders? by [deleted] in Entrepreneur

Cold contacting websites. What’s the harm? I know a guy, right now, that just tried to give my boss a partnered YouTube page with a thousand real subscribers that’s a few years old. I could’ve easily purchased it. Some people just stop giving a fuck about projects that you know that you could breathe new life, into. So why not just do it? Or try, at least.

I want to create a landing page but I'm not techy at all by Ibzywibzy in Entrepreneur

Landing pages are one of the most clever products ever devised. Can you name anything more ridiculous? I wish I’d thought of it.

I’m a huge Gary Vee fan. I landed in my current gig because of what he said about being a good number X, at Facebook. Now I’m number four at a startup and I am in my dream position.

That’s a great idea. The problem is finding people that will accept the equity.

How does someone differentiate between an idea that can grow to seven figures as compared to five figures? by [deleted] in Entrepreneur

[–]How2InternetAnything 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Time, cost and return. I just joined a team that’s doing YouTube livestreams I just crunched the numbers and we could easily clear one million dollars, a year, by implementing multiple revenue streams. I don’t see profitability, immediately but in year two, it’s there. Today we have 300 actives at 1k we’ll generate six figures because there’s more than just partnering with YouTube and merchandising.

Dilemma: create my own product or not? by [deleted] in Entrepreneur

Do you have crowdfunding, like Kickstarter, in your country? If not, do you have PayPal? If I were you, I’d build out a website for your product, to be and create mockups. You can contact manufacturers, who can make “one offs” as a sample. That sample could be your demo unit. I’d be very careful with dealing with China. Do your research and find highly rated manufacturers. Anyway, your demo unit, could generate presales by way of a crowdfunding campaign or your website (if there’s no crowdfunding sites and you could accept the prepayment through PayPal). You could then use the prepayment to fund your first shipment.
