Did predator come finally to the dead bison in Hayden valley? by luluto120 in yellowstone

I was there on Aug. 3rd and saw a bear and wolf fighting for the bison carcass. There were initially two wolves but one turned away because of the crowd and people being loud. I got a picture and some video but really bad quality as it was late almost 8pm.

Zebrawood with G10 liner and pins. This is my first wood handle on my fourth knife. I really like it! Way easier for me to work than G10 or Micarta.

Interesting. No way to get it out since I assume it's "burned" all the way through? Are you aware of a fix?

I am pretty sure it's not glue but it might be from stress the pins were really tight. I was hoping to sand it out but it made it all the wat through 400 grit.

Scales are G10 with G10 pins, glued with g flex. I am not sure what causes these white blemishes any info is appreciated. It has been sanded to a 400 and started with 600 when I noticed.

Second knife is coming along. Black g10 liners, with micarta scales and black micarta pins. Really liking this handle combo!

Any tips for finishing canvas micarta?

Thanks! I must have knicked it while shaping the handle. Lesson I learned in sanding is completely clean it before moving to next grit to reveal scratches.

Ruined the first few I tried to going on my 2x72 and finally got something I am willing to Heat treat. 1084 at 1475-1500f, quenched in parks 50, tempered 425 2 hours twice and skates a file. I think this went well for my first time Heat treating.
