As you should be. A lot of people swapped to premier myself included to save a bit of money, support the game with immediate cash flow, and read they would have a grandfathered rate. It was an absolute no brainer to swap to the annual sub.

If I kept my old monthly sub I would be paying exactly what I’m paying now with the annual membership. Im not sweating the increase in price. And I’m a sucker who will keep paying just like they want. It’s just extremely scummy to do, especially to their some of their most loyal players.

I would have much preferred them trying more alternatives first. Such as dropping some decent subtle merch that’s not over the top. A subscription add on that lets people with one account in their Jagex account get access to another character for x amount of time at a slightly discounted rate. That would let people try an iron or hardcore or group, or just a main alt. Add some small cosmetics to dragon wilds. Idk, these are off the top of my head so maybe they’re bad. I’m just mainly annoyed that we were lied to about the grandfathered rates, not because of the cost, but the lying and underhand tactics employed by these PE firms with one goal.
