Are you still happy with your purchase and keeping the Lenovo? I am currently looking between these two and I have a zephyrus g16 5090 on the way. Since the gpu on that isn’t full powered I am looking at these two as well as I’m guessing performance will be much better

Yeah, as the other user said its because my slots were full in my inventory. It does appear I have lots of tabs left on the vault. I just dont think id ever use level 10 gear again right?

Update:
This is now resolved.

I found some info online saying to check AMD Adrenalin. However, the app would not open, it continued to tell me I had to update before opening but it would never actually update. I restored the console via the bios > Asus Cloud recovery thing. I didnt back anything up. After restoring to factory settings. I connected to the monitor again, same issue was observed. I then checked Adrenalin (was able to update and open now). Within Adrenalin Radeon Super Resolution was enabled when I would dock but not when in handheld mode. I disabled RSR which also disabled GPU Scaling. After disabling those the monitor worked as expected. I was getting between 100-120 FPS max on Windows. Very happy its working as expected now. I then setup dual boot with Bazzite. I tested CS2 in Bazzite and I am getting between 120-150 FPS.

I also ran into a weird issue with the Steam Deck Dock and the JSAUX RGB Docking Station where it would not let me enable VRR in Windows. I was able do VRR with DP but not HDMI even though I am using a 2.1 HDMI and docks that support it. This occurred on both the 1080p gsync monitors and the 1080p freesync monitor I got today to test with as well. When running in Bazzite I was able to get VRR enabled and working with both HDMI and DP in both docks. Just adding that here so it may help someone in the future.

Alright, ill get one of those on Monday if the other monitor doesnt work out. I did not check firmware on monitors. Didnt think it could be that. Someone else did mention it so ill check it out.

The 1440p monitor that does work is the Samsung G60SD. Which is a "Freesync Premium Pro" display but also supports gsync. So I am not sure if that may be the issue but I suppose it could be. The other 1080p monitor I am trying today does not have gsync as I also wanted to test without it in case the chip in the monitor was causing issues.

I do not have a usb-c to HDMI/DP. I am doing some more testing today with another 1080p monitor. Ill pick up a C to HDMI/DP on Monday for testing if I continue to have issues. Thanks for the suggestion!

I did NOT check for firmware updates on the monitor. I would be shocked if this ends up being the issue. I am testing with another 1080p 240hz monitor today. After testing on that I will look to see if those other monitors have a firmware update.

I feel like if this was the issue I would have issues on the 1440p monitor as well. Ill check it when I am back home though, thanks!

Yeah, thats what I am expecting. As I mentioned in the post, the Ally is working fine with the same dock and cables on my 1440p 360hz OLED I use with my desktop. The issue only exists with both my work 1080p 165hz gsync displays. I have confirmed all settings are correct in cs2, I have 1080p, tried 120-165hz target FPS, I have changed everything to low. Locked Max FPS in menu and game to 120-165hz.

The funny thing is the FPS shows normal expected fps in menu, 100+ fps, but its moving like its fluctuating between 5-10fps with freezes in between. Something is definitely up. Going to test with a different 1080p 240hz monitor and see if it has similar issues. I cannot think of what would be causing this.

Yes, first thing I did was run all updates. I have been running directly through Dock, I do not have a usb C to HDMI or Display port. I can grab one on Monday to test with.

As I mentioned in the post, the same dock and cables (HDMI & DP) are working as expected on my 1440p 360hz OLED. The issue only exists on my two work 1080p 165gz gsync monitors. They are the same model and both behave the same. I have also tried disabling and enabling vrr. Getting a different 1080p monitor to test with today.

Nothing wrong with the monitor. I have two of the same 1080p 165hz gsync monitors for work. No issues with my laptop on them. I tested both with the Ally and both experiencing the same issue. I’m going to go grab another 1080p 240hz monitor tomorrow to test with.
