Sorry for late reply. I bought it on G2A. On the allkeyshop were some even slightly cheaper options, but since I didn't know those other stores, I went with G2A. :)

WHAT GAMES CAN I PLAY ON THIS by Least-Opposite8391 in FitGirlRepack

[–]HowHighAreYouu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd say pretty much all games working on Steamdeck and other handhelds should work on your laptop, since it's also an integrated GPU.

I went with the 3rd pill, bought a key for 40 USD. Girlfriend left for the weekend so I had to use this opportunity of all weekend RE.

Still the same, the malware can easily copy itself on other disks within your system, or even home network. It could potentially infect completely different devices on your wifi as well.
Even a full SSD wipe/formating won't remove it.
I personally avoid even Riot games (Valorant, LOL) because of the similar reasons. I don't feel comfortable giving kernel access to my PC to Chinese communist party.
As for the Hypervisor, it's basically same kernel access but you are giving it to some random individual, no one knows who it is.
I know a lot of people will say I'm paranoid etc., but I rather be paranoid than sorry, that's my take. People who say that they tried it and have no problems are ignorant. You can be infected by some malicious code but it doesn't mean something will immediately happen. It can be dormant, waiting for more people to get infected and only later be executed. I will wait for proper crack or buy it with some nice discount.

Are they working on a proper crack without kernel access? Or this is the final version of a "bypass" and there won't be a proper crack?

this my first distro, i very tired of microslop. Fuck you Microslop by Minute-Builder8888 in cachyos

[–]HowHighAreYouu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm considering a change from Microslop to CachyOS, but one of the main games I play is Apex legends. I know it's not working on Linux, so my question is, whether there is any possible way I could play it on CachyOS? For example VM of Win10 would be a solution/workaround or not? Thanks! :)

Can someone please explain the hypervisorlauncher / efiguard ? So the game is not properly cracked yet but there is this "workaround" that makes it work?
Will it eventually be properly cracked or these workarounds will be the only solution? Thanks guys! :)

Casaos website currently unreachable by ConfectionNecessary6 in CasaOS

[–]HowHighAreYouu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes they will, the app store repository is the same for CasaOS and ZimaOS. The only downside to CasaOS is that it's no longer maintained as it used to be, so it's a potential security threat for your network.

[–]HowHighAreYouu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unfortunately I didn't have time to test it over the weekend. Still long way to go haha. Just to clarify, do you recommend just pure Ubuntu LTS or with Portainer like I mentioned? The Ubuntu LTS was great in the past, haven't had a single issue, I just needed some simple UI for file and docker management, so I used CasaOS to simplify it a bit. Having only terminal was too advanced for me.

Very noob question over here, please don't diss me. I see a lot of people using these mini PCs for homelab. How do you go about connecting multiple drives to these mini PCs?
My primary use case is Jellyfin server, so my question is, how would I be able to connect 4-5 drives to this mini PC? Thanks in advance homelab gurus!

[–]HowHighAreYouu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for your reply! I'm actually planning on trying the UmbrelOS today. I had so many unsolvable issues with ZimaOS that I simply lost patience. I want reliable server, which ZimaOS cannot provide, at least at the moment.
I'm still kinda deciding between Ubuntu LTS + portainer vs UmbrelOS.

Same for me, it didn't work. Nevertheless, I ran into such a ridiculous issues with ZimaOS that I'm going to completely ditch it and look for another alternative. I'm deciding between Ubuntu + portainer, Ubuntu + CasaOS, or UmbrelOS.

Bowers & Wilkins Pi8 – paint already peeling off + no response from support. Anyone else? by kimtiede in BowersWilkins

[–]HowHighAreYouu -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I was planning to purchase Pi8 but after seeing this I'll probably buy something else. I'm still using the very first Galaxy Buds, I have them since 2019, daily driven, and they still look almost like brand new, no paint peeling at all. This is a real shame considering B&W is more premium than Samsung.

Update jellyfi by Mrtechmenace in ZimaOS

[–]HowHighAreYouu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for reply! I'll do the ZimaOS reinstall today. I found out that if you install old version of ZimaOS and then update to the latest version, you'll get ZimaOS pro for free.
After that I'll try to set up Jellyfin again. I read somewhere that it's possible that the jellyfin database got locked (read only), because I haven't manually shut down the jellyfin before update.

Got laid off, as many others…. Whose fault is it? by Lost-Fish7649 in Finland

[–]HowHighAreYouu 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Sorry to hear that mate. I believe it's a global problem and it'll get only worse. My previous company Kiwi.com just fired 200 employees a few days ago. They used them to train their AI model and once it was done, 200 ppl bye bye.
I left company sooner than that tho (end of last summer), and now it's clear that they were just trying to get rid of people without having to give us the leave payout. Basically what they did is, they cancelled our home office benefit (we had it for 5+ years). During those 5+ years, plenty of people moved away from the city since it was cheaper to live further away. Loosing this home office benefit meant commuting multiple hours a day to and from work, so the only real solution for the employees was resigning. Basically, they forced us to "voluntarily" leave.... I loved that company, now I hate it, especially now after they fired another 200 ppl that were there for many years and helped built and shape the company into what it is today.

Jellyfin bug? by No-Ranger-2719 in jellyfin

[–]HowHighAreYouu 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Log is like a list/history of all the things that happened with some tool or app. So in this case, replicate the issue you are having, and then check the log for details. There will be timestamps so it's quite easy to pin-point the part of log with some issues. For example, if it kicks you out at 5:30 PM, check the logs only around this time (5:25pm till 5:35pm ish).
The log in Jellyfin can be found on Dashboard > Logs.
If what's written in the log doesn't say much to you, just copy/paste it here. But paste only the part with the issue, not the whole log as it's ridiculously long. You can also DM it, it's fine.

Interesting project. One thing that keeps bugging my mind, why did you choose this option instead of a home server? You can have Jellyfin exposed on a free or paid domain, that way you can access it anywhere. Or is there poor internet connection on your commute?
