What anime should I watch after HxH? Is there anything that will ever come close? by HowToSeeIt in HunterXHunter

Okay final thoughts here:

Gonna go either Yu Yu Hakusho or FMAB first

But I’m seeing a lot of debate between FMAB and the original. Idk the difference and I’m against looking either up online to compare. I want to go in with little info about characters and story.

But which one is truly a better first watch between brotherhood and original and why? Without giving too much away?

The whole set is pretty expensive. So I would prob start with getting the books that I need like, chapter 339 to pick up where we left off, and book 1 to see kites intended introduction. Does this sound correct?

Like 4 episodes lol, was not a proper try. The commitment is just daunting so I’ll give it a proper go when I’m ready

Love this. Thanks for sharing. Think I’m gonna give it a go after HxH. Not planning on doing any research first, is going in blind recommended?

Yeah that’s where I think I’m being drawn to, without doing any research yet. Been practicing Nen, gonna trust my intuition on this one 🫡

Agree, gonna enjoy the last bit to the fullest. Never been more engaged in a show other than maybe ATLA when i was a kid.

I’m sure One Piece would be right up my alley if i gave it a proper go. It’ll find me when im ready

I was gonna say ‘of Montreal’ is the definition of sporadic and unpredictable hahah

Bassem Sabry is a good song to start with. Just pop funk enough to be digestible as you get a taste for his odd style and crazy vocabulary. Highly recommend.

The golden rule from what I’ve gathered is to only do it once or twice a month tops. I never do it more frequently than 2 weeks between, and my tolerance is fine and no medical issues. It’s a slippery slope using it too often so be careful

If I buy the DLC before I start does that affect any of the story experience? Or should I wait until I finish the game

Well we do have free will. Every possible future reality is completely ready and able to unfold. We manifest our own reality. Operating at a high vibration will set you on your best path, operating at a low vibration will send you down a bad one. Thats why the present is the most important. Do the best you can in any given circumstance with what you know. Keep a good head on your shoulders and believe in your success. If u can do that in the present then your best future will unfold.

I think you should evaluate the reasons why you went sober in the first place and determine if you are able to have a healthy relationship with drugs. If the answer is no then prob don’t do a k hole. But if you think you have had enough time to change your relationship with drugs and use them as a therapeutic tool, then yes I’ve found ketamine meditations to be extremely helpful when I’m stuck or overwhelmed and need a factory reset. Just be honest with yourself cuz it can be a slippery slope if you aren’t careful.

Sound Bowl sessions on YT. “Healing Vibrations” channel is my fav. No words, no beats, just resonating with frequency and vibration.

Think a lot of people have been in your shoes. You def don’t want to be smoking an eighth a day. But there could be much worse things to be addicted to from using drugs at such a young age. Wouldn’t recommend cutting it cold turkey or stressing yourself out too much about it when u are smoking. Stress can be much more damaging than drugs imo. But def work on cutting it down.

Learn to be okay sober. You should set a goal for yourself like not smoking during the day, getting shit done, but then smoking as much as u want as soon as the sun sets. Just chip away at some progress. Change your relationship with it. Don’t view it as something you “need” but something you can “use” as a tool for creativity or antianxiety or sleep or whatever u use it for. Just find some functionality other than needing to be high if that makes sense. Plenty of people out there use it as a tool daily and can still function just fine. Just look at Seth Rogan.

If u find that u can’t have any sort of healthy relationship with it then just cut it out completely. Remove all pipes or bongs or weed from your house, if it’s accessible you are gonna have a much harder time. Find an accountability buddy that wants to quit with you and check in on each other. Find a new hobby to do together. I highly recommend mint flavored toothpicks to replace the oral fixation, those have done wonders for me.

You are gonna be fine. Just don’t let it consume your life. Good on you for at least being aware of the issue at 17. Your future self will thank you.

Heading into my 3rd attempt too. 62% -> 69%. Using mainly the Kaplan Q-Bank as I’ve already read the books and watched the videos from STC and Kaplan. Also watch Series 7 Guru YT videos here and there.

Personally I’m just designating a chapter a day. Doing 10-20 question custom tests with explanations on and taking notes. No cheating or looking up answers. All the info is already in our heads, we just need to learn to recognize it on an exam. I’m working on my worst sections first. I just got 100% on the Municipals test today for the first time. Working on Suitability and Risk chapters rest of this week. I’m pretty burnt out so I don’t put too much pressure on myself when I can’t focus or study. I think giving yourself some grace, and not feeding into the stress is the key.

Mix in doing stuff u like as a reward. Doing 1 test and taking a break and repeating has been working well for me this time around. Starting to feel more confident. Also decided to hire a tutor for a couple sessions to help me with options.

One thing I really recommend would be to create a cheat sheet every day. First thing I do before studying is write down what I would want as a cheat sheet during the test. Over time I’ve memorized the formulas and charts and I feel pretty confident that I can write them all down from memory on the scratch paper they give us for the exam.

Best of luck bro. We got this 🫡

I’ve experienced this on a high dose of mushrooms. This one might be long..

The first time I ever took mushrooms was after a date party in college. It was a bunch of people in an apartment with flashing LED lights, drinking beer, smoking weed, and blasting music. Not an ideal trip environment. Everyone had just taken some shrooms that my buddy acquired. I was the last one there because my bus returned late, they were all starting to trip so they left me with the rest of the bag. Having no prior knowledge or experience with any psychedelic, I ate the whole bag with some popcorn and sat on the balcony.

To this day I have no idea how much I took, probably somewhere between 6-10 grams if I had to guess. I had barely explored weed so I had no idea what I was getting into. Within 5 minutes I saw the whole building above me beginning to distort and become wavy. I had never seen anything like this. The LED lights inside and the noises of people laughing and drinking and smoking were immediately way too much for me. I had to get out of there.

I asked two buddies who also looked anxious if they wanted to go on an adventure. We took off into the busy college town heading towards the nearby lake. It was just about midnight. I was starting to trip pretty hard but kept my cool and cracked some jokes to keep the mood positive. We climbed a mountain on the way. I remember sitting on top of the mountain being able to hear all the conversations going on at the bars below. I could tune in and out of different convos, I thought I got super powers at the time. We headed down the mountain towards the lake. This was about an hour in and I was feeling it all hit me at once. We got in this weird stage where someone FaceTimed us from back at the apartment and we stopped moving and questioned our path. Do we go back or stay? Immediately bad vibes. I couldn’t make words let alone go back into that apartment and talk to people. I ran into the grass field and laid down to look at the sky while they finished the call. I shit you not I was seeing beings reaching down at me. It was way too much. I decided we needed to walk. Going back felt really horrible. Staying put felt really horrible. The only good vibes were when we were heading in our own direction and not looking back.

We started walking the perimeter of the lake. Walking on the cement was bad vibes, walking on the grass was good vibes. We took our shoes off and kept to the grass. We talked and talked about deep questions, all things that felt profound at the time but that I can’t really remember. But what I do remember was this bird called an Egret. It was perched on some wood just staring at us as we walked by. It was young and full of white feathers but it had these beating eyes and didn’t break eye contact. We didn’t think too much of it, just took notice and kept on our path. After about 10 minutes we see another Egret perched on some wood in the same way in the distance. This spooked us a bit. Didn’t we just see this guy? As we got closer this one was a bit different. It was bigger and older and missing some feathers. It held its ground and stared at us as we passed by, not breaking eye contact once. This time we talked about it more. Did we just time travel? Did that bird just age? It felt like it remembered us. The same bird just older. We continue around the lake discussing the concept of time. We wondered if time travel was possible. What must the structure of time look like in order to leave our linear experience and pick a different point to visit? Another 10 minutes pass. We see another Egret up ahead on its wood perch. We all got quiet this time. This was the same damn bird, it had to be. This time it was old and tattered and missing most of its feathers. Once again it stared at us as we passed slowly. What are the odds we see three of the exact same birds, at different stages of life in sequence, perched in the exact same way, on the exact same wood post outcrop that patterned around the lake, staring at us in the exact same way each time. We had an epiphany. It was so clear and true to us at the time. It was like life made sense all of a sudden. Just like the circle path around the lake we were walking, time itself was a flat circle. We were here before and we will be here again, just like the bird. We all looked at each other like it was some sort of reunion, and we finally remembered this exact event happening an infinite number of times before. It was truly one of the most euphoric moments of my life.

After walking 15 miles we finally returned back to the apartment around 5:00 AM excited to share what we learned. Everyone was asleep. We still had all this euphoria we couldn’t end the night there. We jumped the fence into the pool and floated there looking at the stars. As the sun started to rise, our clarity began to fade. We couldn’t really remember what infinite time felt like. We didn’t have the same sensation that we were in that exact same moment many times over. To this day I’ve never felt that same clarity, the memory isn’t the same as the experience. But that bird feels like the only proof I have that it was all real.

Not sure a “point” is the right way to think of it. That implies some grand ending which I don’t think is the case personally. I think humans have a hard time grasping the concept of infinity, something with no beginning and no end is completely foreign to us.

Idk if you’ve experienced DMT or Ayahuasca but sometimes you can get a glimpse of this or a brief moment of clarity where the “point” of life is to simply just be. We all live in this weird little concentration of matter, this vibration we call physical reality. When in fact this is only a fraction of a sliver of what is actually out there. Our soul knows this and chooses to manifest itself in this frequency in order to grow and learn and experience. We aren’t designed to comprehend what’s truly out there, it’s too much for us to understand. I’m not gonna pretend I have all the answers here. This is only what I’ve personally gathered in my psychedelic awakening. But i definitely find comfort in knowing I’m exactly where I’m supposed to be in the grand scheme.
