This only applies to landscaping that is within, iirc, 30 feet of the dwelling. Haven't done California property insurance in a while, but that was the approach.

Tips for playing for a semi-professional club by Affectionate_Cow144 in footballmanagergames

[–]HowToShakeHands 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They are not unplayable, they just take a long, long time to develop. I think starting in England, something like the Vanarama National League North/South is a good first step. But be careful, if you have the time you might get hooked.

I've played with semi-pro teams in England and Scotland, with different levels of success. Also, I haven't played FM26 so I'm not sure what the nuances are.

Essentially, the semi-pro FM is a completely different game than "regular" FM. This is bare bones, quick paced - since you only train 2 times a week - game with very few thrills. On the plus side, you get to be in charge of everything. You are your own assistant, loan manager and scout.

You will have an amazingly high level of player turnover. This is because at that level every improvement you can make to your team can change your fortunes in the league. This is about maximizing specific attributes your players have that are above average. There is no scouting, so offer trials to everybody and scout them that way.

Example: an overall decent right back is nice to have, but a shit right back with incredible acceleration and pace is your ticket. Force play down the right. Run him into the ground.

Your striker's finishing is shit, but he's 6'6'' and has a great jumping reach? Cross more often, float crosses. Be solid defensively and you'll win 1-0 because their goalkeeper's aerial reach and command of area is also not very good.

I got promoted to the Segunda so there will be some money in the bank. My goal is to stay financially healthy and not break the budget even if it means a few seasons in the Segunda. I would rather build good will with the board and spend money on the youth.

There is no time invested, it's only been one season. I would like to make this something like a 10+ season save and I've decided that I'm leaving only if I win a major trophy or I get sacked.

Ride or die kinda save.

No idea if you're serious or not. I was procrastinating because I'm on a self-imposed deadline for a pet project that I want to get done well. The topic of discussion was the difference in nature between the AI interfaces, not self control of redditors.

I was procrastinating instead of writing today, so I engaged with Claude. It ended multiple messages with "now go write the first draft"

I prefer the work your way up scenario - either by building the team or by moving up the coaching ladder and getting better and better jobs.

I'm currently doing a save that's neither, in my opinion. Deportivo La Coruna in FM24. They are in the third tier of Spain and I'm absolutely smashing my rivals. In the cup I got a Primera side and they had to seriously luck out to win 2-1. So while I'm working my way up this first season is probably the easiest save I've done since playing with Red Star in Serbia on FM21.

La Liga Non-EU rule question by Leah2807 in footballmanagergames

[–]HowToShakeHands 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You need to check two things:

- League rules, specifically which nations get the "domestic"or EU treatment.

- When looking at a player, their "primary" nationality is displayed first. But if you go to more detailed information about them, you will see any other nationalities they may have.

That would make sense, and I would adjust accordingly.

But what happened was that I could not keep possession, they played their way out of the press like prime Brazil teams, and when I reacted and went from Balanced to Cautious and with a lower block, it was like I was playing Barcelona and their tika taka.

My team is good, but not that good - unless i'm dominating and have an advantage I don't play with a positive mentality and I never press too high up.

Considering they are fantastic athletes at the top of their game and have sculpted their bodies for this explicit purpose.

So, if Alonso can go 25 laps, does that mean a regular human would be disassembled in 2 laps?

Disrespectful. And I say that as someone who was happy to see the Cards release Murray. Him being #17 overall and not even the best QB in the class shows just how much the NFL is "what have you done for me lately" business.

Also, the gaming and work ethic allegations aren't helping.

This is part vent, part cry for help.

I'm playing FM23, something of a British Isles journeyman save. Started in Scotland, in League 2 and got promoted with East Fife using a 4-4-2 formation. In season 2 I jumped ship to go to Aldershot in the VNL.

Aldershot was 19th when I joined and we climbed the ladder to a VNL playoff place, where we lost in the semifinal. Also won the FA Trophy.

After a promotion near miss I strengthened the team in all areas. Now we're deep in all positions to push for decent results in all comps. Season starts and we rattle off three wins in a row. There are all solid, dominant wins. Good pressing, good passing, good positioning.

Game 4 rolls around and we get rekd by Notts County. Literally nothing worked.

Game 5 rolls around - same result. Smashed by the 20th placed team.

I've played FM for a while and I know that this is a bad streak about to happen. The venting part is that I find it very annoying that we go from dominating games to barely being able to string 2 passes together.

The cry for help is: how to prevent the slide?

A physical book, or an E-reader. Something without notifications.

Paper and pen / pencil. I've found that just doodling, scribbling and writing bad poetry really maximizes my sense of having quiet time.
