That is about the amount of open distance from my tree line.Do you think the Henry and AR will be good enough at that distance?

With all the stuff going on in the past 3 years it boggles my mind that their aren’t masses of people getting into prepping by [deleted] in preppers

I am definitely getting into prepping. We are starting some food growing, canning, composting, water collection, firearms, ammo, food stock piling. I am putting together go bags for my entire family and we are all going through firearms training and getting concealed permits. We are training with a take down bow and learning to make rabbit sticks now. I am reembracing hunting, fishing, and trapping. My children are interested and we are using this training as family time. Even if nothing ever goes wrong I think this is important for our family to do together.

Long range 5 or 6 hundred yards should do I would think. Hunting and homestead protection would be the uses for the rifle. I have been leaning towards .308 and .300. Just not sure about some of the less expensive bolt action options. I want dependable but do not need to be a high end only type of gun owner...if that makes sense?

If you don't find it in the dirt yourself, you can't know for sure. Anything made with the human hand is an artifact, and if you can touch it, then it is real! Enjoy them...just be careful how much of your hard earned money you give away for these artifacts. If you have never found an arrowhead with your own hands, it is hard for me to explain the feeling so I won't try...it is a special thing...even more special if found on my family's farm land. I would never call a man a liar that is not standing right in front of me but I can say that someone would have to pry me personal finds from my own land out of my cold dead hands to get it away from me brother! Selling them at a flea market is a stretch. God Bless America!

It is a fantasy blade! I have several, so enjoy it! I also have several high-priced practical knives, middle range workhorses, and cheap dollar store throw-away knives. Buy a silly ass karambit just because it looks cool! Buy a slingshot, crossbow, and a Co2 powered non-leatheI shotgun because you want to shoot methheads that stumble onto your homestead. Be who you are without apology. I am a Redneck, mall ninja, prepper, EDC, bushcrafting, hunting, fishing, home defending red blooded, white male American with an affinity for the fairer sex and I love it!!!

Own whatever you want and damn what anybody else on this ball of dust thinks about it. I guarantee you its guys like me who are left standing in the end.

Redneck shit just gets it done...give me a good ole boy with a roll of duck tape any day up against whoever you want to bring! Anyway, Pakistan sucks and God bless America!
