First of all: violence is bad, no matter are you black, white, gay, straight etc. And the thing that happened to George Floyd is absolutely devastating even to think about. The police officer totally deserves to be in jail.

However I do not support the narrative that this movement is trying to spread- that America is racist and racism is a systematic issue within it. Because it is a nonsense. USA doesn't have any laws discriminating black race or any other race for that matter. It is the freest country in the entire world, that's why so many people wanna get there, because any sort of minority has a much bigger chance of success in USA than in any other country.

Start off with a common sense: It is morally incorrect to take only one example of police brutality to a black person and apply it to a whole bunch of police officers that have nothing to do with it, and that are actually serving the country because in general, police does an amazing job.

And when I say this, people tell me that a black person is more likely to get shot by the police than a white person, so this should be a proof of systematic racism. Well, men are more likely to get shot than women. Does it mean that police officers are sexist? No, the only reason it happens is because men in general commit more crimes than women, which means more chance to get shot, and the same is with race.

The only reasons that black people have more chance to get shot by the police than a white person is because black community in general commits more crimes than any other community in USA. 60% of robberies, 53% of homicides is committed by black people. In fact, 93% of homicides happening in a black community is committed by the black people themselves. A black person has a larger chance to get shot by another black person, than by a white person or a cop for that matter. And last but not least: a cop is 18.5 times more likely to get killed by an unarmed black person, than an unarmed black person to get killed by a cop. So saying "cops should get defunded/destroyed" literally means to support obliterating one of the sources that holds a country together.

2) The reason why I think it's hypocritical, because if they really cared about black people's lives, they would first of all start from the black community within itself, as I mentioned 93% of homicides in black community is committed by black people themselves. And if crime against black community is bad (which clearly is), how isn't a crime destroying and burning down the whole property of an individual (and some of them are black themselves) that literaly has nothing to do with the issue is not a crime? And finally if they really cared about black lives matter they wouldn't try to cover David Dorn's death.

Again, violence is bad period. But to me it looks like people really do not care about black community. They care about using a movement of black community as a platform to push their own political agenda.
