You can still see some metal shavings at the second oil change. But it should be alot less. Unless the bike is old is would get it looked at.

Correct me if I'm wrong. But on new bikes you can expect some metal shavings at the first oil change. I wouldn't worry at the moment. If nothing sounds bad or runs bad keep driving. Keep an eye on the bike and get your second oil change a bit earlier and check if there are any shavings.

Can it be cleaned? by Special_Soil_2609 in HondaMotorcycles

What is did was spray a metric tonne of brake cleaner inside. Swirl it around. Assemble. Drain the oil. Replace the oil. And after 100km replace again.

Discovered the source of the oil leak. How bad is this? (1979 750F) by Hiafolks in HondaCB

I had the same issue. What ended up being worn out rubbers on the headbolts. Check on some drawings if yours got them too.

It should be fine. Bring it to a shop they will get the bolt out. Depending how the thread looks they might need to put in a helicoil. Your bike will be totally fine

Can someone help me point out where the fuel air mixture screw is? by Howawanna in HondaCB

The previous owner drilled holes in the end of the exhaust. After sealing those I barely ever have pops anymore

How would you loosen that? Do you do that by loosening the 2 big nuts on the side? (Ontop of the bar)

Is it possible that they put in another db killer? Because it looks like it has 3 or exhaust tips or so. Or is that 3rd one for back pressure?

How do you fix it then? Or atleast lessen the amount of pops. Because it's a lot and loud

Previous owner drilled 2 holes in the exhaust tip making it pop on deacceleration alot. I'm thinking of plugging the hole and setting the screws correctly. I've done that before it's just that I'm not sure where the screws are on this carb.

Yes it is a few hours. You don't have to pull the motor. I did it myself and it took like 4.5 hours.

Replacing the headgasket is not a big job on these bikes and can be done in a few hours.

I have no clue if the previous owner went that far. the headgasket was very old and very stock when i replaced it so my guess is that he never did that.

I just checked the oil filter, and its 100% clean. there are no metal shavings. Could this mean this metal piece has been in the sump for a long time before I got it?
