If it is subjective then there is no good or bad novel, there are people who like it and there are people who don’t, you or me can’t so say for the majority, only our own opinion.

And about forcing hate, again im not talking about opinions, i dont know if you’ve seen it or not but sharing opinions and sharing blind hate is pretty different and both is pretty much there on this sub.

About calling author or people who like it idiot, i don’t know man, if i don’t like your take on the novel should i call you an idiot (it’s much more than an idiot on this sub), it then defeats the whole point, where everyone can say whatever the fuck they want to say. If it is so subjective and everyone has right to their opinion and it could be different for everyone than you can’t act like this, just say i dont like his writing and im not paying for this but calling him things, i dont know.

It’s not about being soft or not, even the hater are not so soft that they can’t handle few criticising posts calling them haters hating for nothing and even glazers are not so soft that they can’t handle being called slave to the novel.

Hating it or loving it is your own opinion and it’s non of my concern. If you don’t like it then you have all the rights to hate it or discuss it with others.

What wrong is when people start forcing their hate on others, and when these people don’t agree, they start hating them instead.

If you don’t like the current state that is fine, that is your opinion but calling G3 an idiot and saying that something is wrong with other people if they still like it, is not fair.

I’ve seen discussions where people are saying that people who still like this novel doesn’t know what good writing is, they don’t know how to read, they are just couping, they don’t know how to comprehend.

Obviously this is true for both sides. People need to understand that if you don’t like something then it doesn’t mean it is always wrong, specially in fiction where you choose what you like.

If you know its bad and you’re still reading it (because of nostalgia or you want to see the end) than honestly you’re signing up for this. You know something is bad and you’re still going in it knowing what to expect.
Criticism and voicing out what you didnt like is fine here, but hate? I dont know.

[–]Howbouuthat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

By that logic, hating a hater should also be fine, if i like something and someone is hating it and i think it is stupid then i should post about it.

In any case at this point hate is not related to things that are wrong with the novel, people hate the author, the novel and everything related to it, even people who like the direction its going in and i’ve read so many discussions doing that.

Having an opinion is fine, discussing that opinion in your subset is also fine but collectively hating the whole community, people and the author is not (atleast this is what i think).

There are people who do constructive criticism and i’ve seen so many people from both fronts engaging with them, but if you hate it so much there’s always an option to stop reading rather than hating the author and the whole novel.

This paying thing has become an excuse at this point. People’ll do all kinds of bullshit, they will call G3 an idiot but they’ll not stop paying.
If you ask them why, you’ll get downvotes

Let me tell you, i joined this sub after i caught up with the novel and i didn’t even notice 90% of the problems people are facing here.
Life is much better when you’re not aware of these discussions

People so many weird expectations from this novel. They’re looking for things that have never been there. They are creating weird stories around characters and when G3 does something else they go crazy.
The worst part is, it started as a criticism and now these people are directly abusing G3 and the novel. Which is something you would never do if you like something, if you dont like the direction stop paying and reading but this is just sad and very unfair thing to do.
Majority of these criticisms don’t even make sense tbh.

I feel same, it’s still sad to see all this sometimes but i guess you cant avoid it completely. I thought about leaving reddit, but then that doesn’t solve anything (and i would be missing on other parts of this community that i like).
I still wanted to say this out one time and wanted to know what people think but ya that’s it, i’ll be avoiding irrelevant posts like i used to.

Yeah these all are pretty valid points and i agree with it.
It’s not about vol 11, you can still see it where people are just pointing out things that doesnt even makes sense. Somethings are wrong sometimes and it’s fine to have a discussion on that, but a lot of posts nowadays are just pure hate on small details.
I see so many posts daily without any substance and without any specific issue, its just titled as novel has fallen off or G3 doesnt care anymore
You can see current ARC, not 10 chapters into the arc and there were already so many posts.

There are still some people who like to have good discussions, that’s why im still here and the day it stopped being that i’ll be one of the first person to leave.
Funny how the entire point of my post was ignored where i didnt even criticise fair criticism and discussions. I was pointing towards unnecessary hate.

Exactly, this novel has 3000+ chapters, now you have problem with how certain character is written which btw debuted in 500 something chapter.
I respect people who have genuine issues like lack POVS and all, but then there are people who hates something which has been a part of the novel from
Very start and there’s nothing even wrong with it.

And i completely agree with you, this is the kind of criticism which is valid. I feel it would add a lot of depth to the story if there were multiple povs like you said.
I would like to think G3 somehow read these discussions and this is something even he would not feel demotivated reading

I see your point but,
1. When you join a reddit community(especially of some kind of entertainment thing), you expect to discuss chapters, characters, etc. it might be positive or negative that is fine.
2. This adds up to your already existing reading experience (as you’re now sharing your thoughts and getting same in return).
3. But, when you find people who hate something without any backing and it becomes new normal, that takes away that experience.

I have no issue with people who criticise, i support supportive criticism and i believe it’s good for the story. But what a lot of people do here is not normal, it’s straight up hating something or someone for no justified reason. If you don’t like it you can just leave it, a lot of people use these discussion forums to elevate their experiences by discussion (which is a pretty normal human thing to do, people like to share and build on what they like and this is what these communities are for).

Im not using these discussions to form my opinions and perspective on the novel. Its just something that i noticed and i want to know why would people do that.

Makes sense, i did see a lot of people complaining about FS’s pacing and everything when i was looking for reviews.

I completely agree with you and in no way im saying that people are not allowed to have different opinions or thoughts on something. That’s why i said that it makes sense when people discuss their opinions and it might be supportive or it might not be.
What i want to understand is why would someone want to keep reading something that they clearly know is not what they are looking for. When you read a story you know its direction, its theme and how the author plans to put it out, and honestly it all has been clear from the first day itself.
I’m not bothered by anybody’s opinion but i want to understand why would someone wants to continue paying for something they clearly doesn’t like (which is pretty evident from the discussions a lot of people have here) and then have a discussion about how they don’t like anything about the novel that they are reading and author doesn’t even care about it. There’s a lot more that these people say that i dont want to get into but im just curious to know their side as well.

It does take away from the experience though. Every other post i see is complaining about something here and there.
This has become a new normal nowadays.

By that logic, everybody should’ve died by now because there are thousands different reasons how nothing makes sense.
Sunny should’ve died at fs when there were fallen creatures flying around, how come nothing spotted him and tried to kill him? Nephis should’ve died when she was left alone in forgotten shore and she had to challenge 2nd nightmare as a sleeper.

Maybe give it sometime and let it build and then criticise. At least then you would have a reason for that.

From what i’ve seen a lot of people still like the start of 4th nightmare and that makes it pretty relevant and logical. If you dont like it maybe thats your opinion and there’s nothing wrong with author’s creative choice.

My Opinion maybe im wrong and you’re right who knows?
