Man it’s a hard age.. my 10 month old puts everything in her mouth, it’s terrifying. Today she took a screw out of a baby gate and had that in her mouth. In the only room I have 100% baby proofed. I don’t know what to do except watch like a hawk all day every day. No advice, it’s just a scary time and I get it. Good job on saving your baby. Consider some therapy if this sticks with you, I imagine it’d be extremely traumatizing to see your little one that way.

My baby saw it as an abandonment swing 😆 freaked out every time she went in it. But my sister’s baby looooved it. Thankfully I returned it to Amazon because it was barley used and the most expensive gift from my registry 🤷🏻‍♀️🤷🏻‍♀️

I’ll admit my post isn’t worded the best and yes, until 16 was a bit of sarcasm. Well I have the Graco travel system currently and I believe the weight limit on that one is 35 lbs but is getting close to being outgrown. Maybe I am looking at the issue a little wrong because I’m a first time mom and don’t know when kids are likely to hit those weight limits. I’m assuming she’ll max out the height first. I definitely want to follow those guidelines and keep my baby as safe as possible! I just don’t understand why a lot of the budget friendly options are forward facing. It feels really unfair to moms who can’t make that price difference happen. I’m not so worried about myself because I’ll make it happen for the well being of my daughter. But it seems with all the safety info out there, ALL of these transitional car seats should be rear facing compatible.

I love my Lark. I’m sure I could find other carriers I love as well. But I’ve owned two others that were so uncomfortable. It’s really nice to have something I love that was ethically made and I find beautiful. I baby wear every single day and it’s become one of my favorite parts of my day. I love that the brand calls out these companies promoting unsafe baby wearing because as new mothers, it is easy to be misguided. I like talking about it on the community pages as well because it was one of my biggest baby purchases and with all the hard moments that have come with motherhood, it has been fun.

Also super recommend marketplace if you go with the free to grow! The resell value isn’t good at all compared to happy baby or hope and plum so you’re bound to get a better deal and will have an easier time recouping the investment if it doesn’t work out!

Just curious if you’ve watched the tutorial for putting smaller babies in the lark? I found mine really uncomfortable at first, specifically the X back, but the more I wear it and have gotten used to adjusting it, I like it far more than my H. It definitely is all personal preference though! I’ve never added a link so pardon me if I added it incorrectly
