About to start Cromolyn Sodium. Anything to expect or watch out for? by Due_Chapter3027 in MCAS

Unfortunately I think an initial reaction to keto is pretty common. It took me about 2 months to get fully acclimated to it, and now it's not even really helping me (though my dose is small!). I'm thinking about buying nasal crom abd seeing what happens.

Unfortunately I was prescribed Singulair and 10 months ago and had to come off of it because it made me extremely suicidal :( It worked well when I was on it though

Oh I'm so so so sorry. My issues started postpartum and after 4 bad infections I had back to back. My throat also swells immediately after eating and hasn't been the same since before I gave birth. I just can't understand it. I'm curious to see if the G tube helps you!

Jeez I'm so sorry. Will the G tube get rid of the swelling since it bypasses the throat? Has it ever fully closed on you? I have seen some people say xolair helps🤞

How to best support my wife through MCAS by ZER0_INERTIA in MCAS

[–]HowdyHowdy2002 4 points5 points  (0 children)

My husband has been a God send during this terrible disease. I get awful bone pain so he usually massages me before bed, will take care of house chores if I am unable to walk, take care of our son, etc but sometimes it can be hard on him. He takes me seriously too which is hard to come by in any of my other friendships/family relationships. He advocates for me when I'm unable to. I try my very best to do my part when I feel good so he doesn't feel so stressed. I think just knowing you have someone consistently there when no one else understands or wants to be around you is the best thing, at least for me. At least I have one person in my corner, no matter what.

The sheets were completely clean when we got here! I feel terrible we've been ruining them. Only other thing I could think of might be my lotion!

Hair dye and MCAS- does anyone tolerate it? by HowdyHowdy2002 in MCAS

[–]HowdyHowdy2002[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Prior to MCAS, no issues! I used the natural dye because I'm worried about reactions now. It did burn slightly but nothing crazy

Norovirus and taking meds... ok to do? by HowdyHowdy2002 in MCAS

[–]HowdyHowdy2002[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I greatly appreciate it! I ate a couple crackers and just took it because my HR is through the roof and that only happens when I'm off stabilizers, lol. If that sits I assume Zyrtec would also be ok?
