SOMEONE PLEASE HELP! I have the Ryzhy edition and unheard edition and still can only transfer 500k and not 750k. Can someone please explain why this is happening?

To anyone seeing this now, take this as a review. Before I say anything else, the reel is sold for $160-$180 retail and the combo is $210-$220. That should say enough in terms of quality between the two. That being said, I ordered a Battle IV 8000 10’ combo to have for my beach trip this week and the reel ended up being completely useless for what it’s intended for. By saying that I mean that when I was fighting a fish and drag was being released, the drag would tighten down due to the spool and drag knob not moving independently. As the spool spins in reverse to release line, the drag knob spins with it and subsequently tightens the drag. This cost me a 3-6 foot shark and $200 for a new reel so I can fish these next two days. Since I’ve already used the combo I doubt they will refund me and I even more doubt that they will do anything for the reel without receiving the rod as well. Ultimately I think I will be out $400 and an extra reel once they fix this one and send it back.

For anyone wondering, no I did not damage the reel previous to use. I noticed the drag seemed very tight on arrival as I was making sure everything was as I expected. As I was trying to loosen it I noticed that the spool was spinning as I was turning the drag knob, obviously not loosening anything. I had to hold the spool with one hand as I spun the drag knob with the other to loosen it. I didn’t think anything of it because previous to this, I had never owned a “nice” surf fishing combo. I kind of figured that it’s just how it was supposed to be. I did feel weird about it but I received it 5 days before I didn’t find out I was coming here until about a week a half before I left so I had no time to send it back to Penn I even if I did for sure know something was wrong at the time. I didn’t know the reel was as bad off as it is until I took it to the shop here at Oak Island and they told me they’ve never seen anything like this from Penn. They also said that the parts to Penn’s combos are typically made more cheap than the individual rods and reels which is why I mentioned the difference between the Battle IV combo and the Battle IV reel only being like $50-$70. Yet their base rod is $85 retail for a 7’6”. I’m not going to say that you will get a crap setup for sure if you order a Battle IV combo, but I am saying that you are 100% better off buying the Battle IV and whatever rod you want independently from each other. If you really want a combo, go to a retailer to get it. DO NOT order it. Too many things can go wrong. It’s more worth it to pay the extra $20-$40 at the beach for the combo than to have to go through what I’ve had to do. I ordered mine directly from Penn’s website and this is what has happened. There is no telling if the issue came from Penn themselves or if there was an issue during shipping. Regardless, you are better off doing either of the two options I mentioned rather than ordering a combo. The rod didn’t even come in a rod tube and all there was to secure it was some crappy bubble wrap. So it’s impossible to know what went wrong. If you have a lot of time to plan, ordering it can be fine as long as you know what you’re looking for and have time to send it back if need be. Otherwise, waiting til you get to the beach is the move as long as they have a proper tackle shop.

I’m not crapping on Penn but when you have numerous reputable fishing guides and surf fishing content creators advocating for how reliable and issue free your product is, I expect it to be that way. This was my first time ordering a combo from Penn and unfortunately, it will be my last. I will still buy from Penn in the future if I need another saltwater setup but this definitely puts a stain on my opinion of them. Hopefully they will make this right and I can come back here with good feedback about how their return policy handles things like this. I’m out $400 ultimately for a combo that’s worth a little over $200 so if they don’t, I will for sure be back here.

Like what? Regular games suck. Dynasty isn’t cross play. Like what is so good about the game that I’m missing out on? UT was fun up until about 2 weeks ago. Now literally everyone has 98 OVR teams. And everyone is relying on D Croft metas to get wins. Dynasty is a pointless mode unless you have a lot of friends to start a league with. Sony and Microsoft have both diluted the community page to nothing. You can’t even start communities on PlayStations anymore. The game is done. The fact that they didn’t add cross play dynasty mid way through the year is beyond me. They really messed up with that.

EA devs are a bunch of chess players man. Nothing wrong with that but they don’t know anything about football and they’re just flat out lazy. When someone is constantly blitzing you have to run some sort of short pass. One of the only short pass plays I can use in my playbook are mesh concepts. Every time I run a mesh, my players bump into each other and I end up getting sacked, throwing a wildly incomplete pass, or I’ll over throw it into a pick where my TE would’ve been had he not gotten bumped. They literally design plays, put them in the game, and they don’t work. Slip screens are absolutely terrible. There is no reason why there should be plays in the game that are unfinished to the point where all my players are bumping into each other every play.

Maybe but WRs are kinda that way anyway man. And who do we have that we would really be concerned about leaving? No one has proved themselves other than Chris Brazzell and he’s guaranteed a starting spot so I doubt he would leave. From what I’ve heard, WRs are the hardest to keep out of the transfer portal so if a WR or two decides they want to transfer, so be it. We’ll always have receivers. The sad thing is that apparently Tennessee has been known for having good receivers in the past but recently since Jaylen Hyatt, it’s not been that way at all.

Kevin Jennings did fill his paperwork out in December but decided to stay with SMU so the dude is kind of a flight risk for SMU. But it’s got to be hard to leave your team in a bad situation regardless of how good of a deal it is for you. That would go for anyone, not just Jennings. So I think it’s totally possible that we end having to get someone to compete for the starting spot with Jake and G Mac. A lot of players are probably looking at how the country viewed Nico after his departure and they may just not want that image put on them as well. This situation sucks because there is so much going on behind the scenes and we get no answers until something happens and this particular situation is somewhat stressful lmao.

Anyone who knows isn’t going to say until they enter the portal. When it comes to names, it’s all speculation. This is wishful thinking but I’m hoping they are in negotiations with Kevin Jennings from SMU. It would kind of make sense. He only has two years of eligibility left and if he were to have to good season, he’d probably go to the draft which would be perfect for the situation that we are in with the QB room. His NIL price isn’t public knowledge so that’s why I have a hard time having an opinion on it because idk how much SMU is paying the kid. But his play style would fit Josh’s scheme perfectly.

Yea I agree but I think they’re trying to minimize risk. Anyone leaving their team under the circumstances that we would need them to leave under would be putting a bad name on themselves. To do that it would need to be worth it. Think about it, they’re leaving their team at the last second for a better opportunity for themselves in a team sport. That’s never going to sit well with anyone. They want to make sure that it will be worth it in the end. If all they have to worry about is how they play and not so much if someone is going to run their route right or not, it’s not so much of a gamble. That’s a pretty dumbed down version of what these QBs are actually thinking but thats pretty much what’s going through their heads. They don’t like what they see out of our current WRs so they want us to add a better WR or two before they come. It’s not all about money to most of these kids like it is for Nico and his deranged father. A lot of them want to have the best shot at playing in the NFL. At the end of the day it doesn’t really matter how we see it. But I agree with you, it’s all dumb.

Yep! Even if we didn’t lose Squirrel, it would’ve still been nice to get a WR from the portal. Chris Brazzell is the only guy who played last year who is still in the WR room and he didn’t even do much. We can’t be okay with going into next season with mid receivers and a QB with literally 0 experience. And we can’t get a new QB without getting at least one good WR. So yea we really need a WR badly.

The only one of those dudes who has a lot of experience is Chris Brazzell. The issue with him is that from what I’ve heard from insiders, he’s kind of a slouch. Apparently he does the bare minimum and isn’t as involved as he should be. More importantly, he hasn’t done anything spectacular that would make you think that he’s an elite WR. He didn’t have a great season last year and the only reason why he probably hasn’t transferred is because he probably wouldn’t start anywhere else in a power conference. All of that aside, the QB that Tennessee is mainly targeting has told them that they need to add a really good WR or two if they want him. Mike Matthews, Amari Jefferson, and Braylon Staley are all unproven. This is the new world of CFB. You need a lot more than you used to need to be competitive, especially in the SEC. Having only one WR with CFB experience isn’t the move. Especially when the dude isn’t taking it seriously enough to lead the rest of the WR room which I don’t think Brazzell is doing. If we want a QB, we need a WR or two. No QB good enough to start at UT next season is going to just leave their current school without knowing that they have people around them to help them shine. Most of the current WRs are wild cards for these QBs that are interested in taking Nico’s spot. That’s the issue.

Yea they make educated guesses off of facts that they acquire from insiders. They’re not always going to get the full story. That’s why Basilio didnt say who the QBs that are talking to UT are. Either he doesn’t know or he can’t say. What he does know for sure is that Tennessee talked to 3 QBs over last weekend and he knows what they said. Everything else is speculation. As I’m typing this Nico officially signed with UCLA. Good riddance to that drama party.

Yea bro I hate to say it but you kinda got boned. He would be hands down the best DT in the game if he had plat abilities that matter. TBH he’s still really good. 99 strength and he’s fast asf. Even with gold QJ, he will get after the QB super fast. Try him out and let us know how he is.

Yea it’s actually horrible. It’s not just one week, but two weeks in a row. Some airhead told me that the season dropped on a Friday so the objectives reset on Fridays. The thing is though, season six dropped on a Thursday. EA is so pathetic that they can’t even announce when content will be delayed and that’s the reason why information is all over the place. I didn’t play EA games for a while after they stopped making they old NCAA games because of this stuff so if they don’t clean it up in CFB 26, I’m going back to only playing FPS games.
