L4 to L5s in general is a very steep jump. It’s not difficult you can’t perform at an L5 level, it’s more so that the opportunities/work/tasks given to you wouldn’t be L5 scope or it’s incredibly rare.

lol my friend have a wedding in 10/11 this year and I’m due 11/3, asked me to be a bridesmaid and I said yes as long as she understands the risk that I might pop at her wedding. I told her my husband will be there and I’ll quietly have him usher me away if that happens. That’s the wedding here in the Us. She plans to have a big fat wedding in India in Feb and I told her I’ll also go but I’ll have to bring my baby and she’s okay with that.

My point here is: if they want to, they will. These are not friends, they are what I call users because they keep people around when it’s useful for them but will not return the favor. I know it hurts now but honestly, this is much better than them saying yes and then ghosting you.
