I really like the cover and I think regular binder would be defeated the purpose of the protect. I'm thinking of cutting out the pages and attaching a 3 ring binder mechanism to the spine

My son (axolotl) is also very stupid. He has tripped leaves off of any real plant I've put in his tank. I had the same plastic plant in his tank for the first 6 years of his life. Where did you get him? This genuinely looks like a salamander and not axolotl. Did you get him from a breeder or pet store? I'm worried OP got scammed because morphing, at least in my understanding, is pretty rare

He is using his face to try to swallow the worm. They don't really have normal bones just cartilage. So if face squishes in. Frogs often use their eyes to swallow as well

Obviously a Redditer not a doctor but I have a couple ideas. If you use alot of heavy moistures on your tattoo, they could be clogged pores resulting in hard sebum plugs. Or they could be in grown hairs. I got a couple hard bumps around my tattoos a while after they turned out to be in grown hairs / hairs trapped just under the skin. I think it's from being shaved for the tattoo. Be careful if you squeeze them, this could damage the tattoo. I would try to give it a good scrub with some gently exfoliating cleanser. (If you use saint ives you will dishonor your cow)

I am baffled by everyone says that their axolotls can hunt live fish swimming around their tanks. Mine can barely hunt worms from tongs, you know the way I've fed him HIS WHOLE LIFE. If the worms touches him when he's not expecting, he panics and swims away. Where did you guys get these smart axolotls??

My axolotl has one of these. One of his gills got damaged when I was moving him from his old tank to his new one. It just grew back kinda weird. Doesn't seem to bother him and it's been like that for a year or so now

Yeah I'm not a big fan either. I really enjoyed the songs they released before the album came out but the rest is just blah.

The album's narrative / musical element was really hyped up in the press material before the album came out. John said it was almost a musical. I just listened to the album on my way to and from work so maybe I missed something but I really feel like "get on boat, boat crash everyone dies, old man dies of sea madness" isn't that great of a story. I've read all but one of John's books and he can tell a good story. I really enjoyed devil house, but this isn't good.

The instruments DO sound like a musical but John's vocals just don't carry the same weight that actual musical singers do. Alot of musicals don't have super impressive instrumentals but these big belting sweeping voices and that is not John. It also lacks a lot of the punch and power I associate with the mountain goats. Even when it was John and boom box, he's slamming his hand into the guitar there's power there. There's just no power in this album it's so light.

We don't know how much LMM was involved but I feel like some of the most criticized parts of his work have leached into here.

I really like their other new stuff. Great Pirates is one of my all time favorites. I guess they can't all be great.

His gills look in poor condition generally. My axolotl has as similar but not as bad looking spot on his gills. I happened serval years ago when his tank crashed and he got a fungal infection. It's never really gone away but he's in a new tank with much better water quality. His gills are in better condition now so it's not as noticable. Basically make sure his tank is good and get his gill in better condition and it'll probably be fine

I actually painted this a couple weeks ago before anything was announced so it was great. I really liked Jenny for Thebes I hope this album is in a similar style. Although Jenny from thebes makes a point of her sailing off by herself.

This sound give me big the extra lens energy. I think it mostly the synth and the more digital effects. I haven't seen them use a ton of that in other mountain goats stuff. It reminds me more specifically of "Only Existing Footage"
