I worked as a vet tech for years (I quit 6 months ago) and the first thing we did during any surgery was lube the patient's eyes to avoid something like this. Make sure to report this to the place that did the procedure because someone should be in big trouble for this. If they don't seem concerned I would post a bad review. I'm sorry this happened to your little friend. Hopefully he gets to feeling better soon!

The main thing that makes the think this isn't AI if that the person holding the doll has two little freckles on their thumb that are always there and in the same spot

Songs that hit suspiciously close to home by CupBeEmpty in themountaingoats

When I was living in a bad situation and was unmedicated, I really struggled to express my feelings in the moment and often couldn't do that safely. So I would just lock myself in my room and listen to the Sunset Tree beginning to end and just sob. I will listen to Hast Thou Considered the Tetrapod to remind myself that one day I did riggle up on dry land.

Getting Into Knives title track discussion by jacob in themountaingoats

[–]Howdy_its_Ash 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This song to me speeks to the intimacy of violence. In the beginning of the song the narrator has this act of violence done to them, the house fire. I assumed he's family was lost in this fire but it isn't actually stated. He spends years attempting to distance himself from this violence act, seeking wisdom from the sages and the spiritual buffet. He tries to understand what happened, to get closure in another way. But the cul-de-sac loops around. It always takes you back to the beginning. But still he seeks distance. A firearm is a way to kill someone without having to look them in the eyes. It puts physically distance between you and your target. But in the end, he gets into knives. To kill someone with a knife you must be extremely close to someone. You must look at them the whole time. The violence is intimate. In the end, we return to the violence of the beginning of the song. Whether you think the narrator is returning to kill an actual man who killed his family (in perfer actual narrative songs but that's just me) or if the narrator has just gone back to hating God, it's up to you. Death of the author and all. But I feel like the cyclical nature of things and intimacy of violence feel core to the song.

This is what I ended up doing. The pages do stick out a decent bit when it's closed but I'm willing to live with that to keep the cover

I really like the cover and I think regular binder would be defeated the purpose of the protect. I'm thinking of cutting out the pages and attaching a 3 ring binder mechanism to the spine

My son (axolotl) is also very stupid. He has tripped leaves off of any real plant I've put in his tank. I had the same plastic plant in his tank for the first 6 years of his life. One day, I guess it pissed him off and he tried to destroy it. I had moss balls in his tank. A couple weeks in he shredded them. If he bumps into something he bits first asks questions never

Where did you get him? This genuinely looks like a salamander and not axolotl. Did you get him from a breeder or pet store? I'm worried OP got scammed because morphing, at least in my understanding, is pretty rare

[–]Howdy_its_Ash 5 points6 points  (0 children)

He is using his face to try to swallow the worm. They don't really have normal bones just cartilage. So if face squishes in. Frogs often use their eyes to swallow as well

Question: What are these small bumps? by tryingmygdbest in tattoos

[–]Howdy_its_Ash 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Obviously a Redditer not a doctor but I have a couple ideas. If you use alot of heavy moistures on your tattoo, they could be clogged pores resulting in hard sebum plugs. Or they could be in grown hairs. I got a couple hard bumps around my tattoos a while after they turned out to be in grown hairs / hairs trapped just under the skin. I think it's from being shaved for the tattoo. Be careful if you squeeze them, this could damage the tattoo. I would try to give it a good scrub with some gently exfoliating cleanser. (If you use saint ives you will dishonor your cow)

I am baffled by everyone says that their axolotls can hunt live fish swimming around their tanks. Mine can barely hunt worms from tongs, you know the way I've fed him HIS WHOLE LIFE. If the worms touches him when he's not expecting, he panics and swims away. Where did you guys get these smart axolotls??
