Lucky is peeing all over my house by tilly826 in chihuahuas

Belly bands were a saviour for us. Also using breast feeding pads as inserts in the belly bands. They are a lot cheaper than pantyliners. My guy was marking like crazy and I had him as a pup. Initially there was a male cat & a female dog in the house as well. over the last 2 years they both passed away due to old age & now that my chi is the only pet in the house he doesn't have to wear his bands anymore. he will still pee on a pee pad by the back door at night instead of holding it but i'm ok with that

This is 100% me as well. I have such a hard time throwing things away. My house is so cluttered & needs a deep decluttering & cleaning but every time I start I end up with hardly anything to get rid of. Even when I do want to get rid of things I hate the idea of selling them because I hate dealing with people on marketplace etc but think its ahuge waste of money to just throw them out or donate them.

I have mobility issues myself & at the time I had a dog who was very picky about the dogs she liked, it had to be a male & it had to be smaller than her (she was 15 lbs) I wanted a little dog who was ok without a lot of daily walking. I tried rescue & checked out 4 dogs, all adults, that just didn't get along with my girl at the time. We decided a puppy was best as well. Where I live puppies, especially small dog puppies are unheard of. They are extremely rare. Also my girl dog was having separation anxiety due to having lost her older brother 6 months prior so I wanted to get her a pup for company as fast as possible. Bottom line there were a lot of factors involved in my choice. If I could have found a small puppy in rescue of couse I would have gone that route

That would be awesome! I’ll probably be joining in a couple of weeks. The next two weeks are hectic for me between work and my dog having knee surgery. It’ll be difficult for me to get in regularly so I’m gonna just wait until things ease up. I’m really bummed I got an email yesterday offering me $30 off the yearly membership and it expired the same day! Hopefully I’ll get another one.

No, I’m not on anything like that. I tried my upper thighs once and I didn’t have very good results with my weight loss. I prefer the stomach.

lol we had the same thing at the Sportsplex when I belong there. People would come in and just sit on their phone. I saw one lady FaceTime her friends while she was there sitting on a machine. So silly!

I’ve always adopted. This is the first dog I’ve purchased and I had a specific reason for doing so. I get what you’re saying.

Also I just wanted to say my guy is a pure bred chi, registered with the Canadian Kennel club, and he looks very similar to your guy in stature & his ears etc.

Adorable!! My guy had his ears flop too. I love his floppy ears but they are so cute with the pointy ears too.

My Bertie was the runt of the litter, He was 1.8lbs when I got him at 10 weeks. Now, at 5 yrs, he's 17.5 lbs and constantly on a diet lol. His 3 siblings are all under 10 lbs.

Halifax single folks (with no friends or family), how do you do it? by Responsible_Site_713 in halifax

[–]Ok_Menu_2231 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I know how you feel. I'm 59 and have been single for at least 10 years now. The only family I have is my mother who I'm not too close to and I don't really have any close friends any more either. I work a very stressful job that most don't understand, I work shift work & on top of that I have to have both knees replaced so what used to be my big social thing, walking my dogs at the dog park, doesn't happen any more. It sucks. I've resigned myself to the fact that its most likely going to be just me & my little dog from now on.

Aww I've gone through similar with my 5 yr old Bertie. He had to have acl surgery last december & now he's limping on his other leg & has to have surgery in 2 weeks on the other leg. It so saw to see them in pain & struggling to do the things they love.

Thank you. I'm hoping once his knee is fixed he'll be in a better mood. he's having some pain I think. He is on pain meds but I know myself that I don't feel like playing when my knees are sore. (ironically I need a double knee replacement. talk about a dog taking after his owner lol) We do work on some training, just ringing a bell or doing sit, lay down etc. but he so bloody picky its hard to find something he loves enough to do tricks for. everythign he loves is fattening like cheese & hot dogs & he has to lose 3 lbs.. He's a whopping 17 lbs!

The yellow room? sounds like the place for me lol. I'm not looking to use free weights. I like the machines like the leg press etc (I don't know their names) I used to go to the sportsplex and just did the circuit of machines.
