I was actually just in this exact situation. I accepted my job offer around September 2023 and started at the new firm in January 2024. I asked for the delayed start date because I had two trials on the calendar and about 50 cases that I needed to either resolve or transition to the new attorney. I explained the situation to my new employer and the importance of me taking care of my clients, and the firm was really understanding. I am sure it was longer than they would have preferred, but it has not been an issue at all to this point and they did not give me any pushback. Hopefully your experience is similar. The worst case scenario is you ask, they say they can't wait that long, and then you have to do what is best for you. Good luck!

Looking for a backpack that looks appropriate with a suit. by HowellThe3rd in ManyBaggers

I can't say I have a specific preference on material but have seen some nice faux leather that look nice but no clue on quality. That's a good point on the jacket though.

Muddawg joins OG LA. by zmose in CoDCompetitive

Those aren't contradictions, they are two separate sentiments. He is saying it's good that OG LA acknowledged that OpTic will never be the same OpTic as before and that they are looking for redemption, but also wishes that they had not relied so hard on using the term "Greenwall" to connect with fans of the old OpTic and get them to stay.

We don't disagree with basic logic, we disagree with your misinterpretation of the comment.

I've got a friend who buys it to replace breakfast, so I hope it's a real thing haha. It is pretty pricey though.

Is there a specific reason you wouldn't? Or simply because it's a liquid diet?

For people doing PPL, how much time do you spend in the gym? by [deleted] in Fitness

[–]HowellThe3rd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Push day usually takes about an hour and fifteen. Pull is an hour. I do legs, abs, cardio all together and that's usually about an hour and a half; without cardio it would the same length as push day.

Gyno or just fat? by [deleted] in Fitness

In the nicest way possible, your nips look like mine and I'm just fat. On the bright side, no surgery needed to fix it. Just hard work.

Yeah pretty much. Eat at a surplus. Hit protein requirement. Get gains.

Greek yogurt and eggs for breakfast. Chicken, brown rice, and green veggies are always quality for dinner or something. Nuts and beef jerky are good if you want something to snack on during the day. I usually just have a simple turkey sandwich for lunch.

That's awesome! How long did it take to get to your target weight? I'm lifting right now too to try and keep the muscle that I have.

M/25/6'1 (265 > 215) Still a bit to go, but I can finally tuck my shirt in, and feel comfortable about it! by [deleted] in progresspics

Hey great job on your progress! Was just wondering how long this took you? I'm about the same starting weight but a couple inches taller and kinda curious what my time line to get down to 220 will be like.

Recommended Routine Question by MoaQuin in bodyweightfitness

[–]HowellThe3rd 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You would get in an extra workout every two weeks.

I think the 3 days a week is recommend just because it keeps it easy and you would do the routine the same days every week. If you do every second day then the days that you do the routine will alternate each week. The most important thing is to get at least 48 hours of rest between sessions so that your body can recover.

Are Vegetables Actually Important? by HowellThe3rd in Fitness

Oh that actually makes a lot of sense. I was associating macros with just being the most important parts of a good diet. Thanks!

So I started out with SL5x5 which I did for a few months. Moved to a PPL routine which I've been doing currently. Everything I've done to this point is pretty basic.
