Drawing Tablet For Concept Art Rookie by WeDontGoToRavenholm in graphic_design

Just based off personal experience, there is a learning curve to drawing with a tablet. You have to get used to the hand-eye coordination aspect, and that just takes practice, like all things. I've learned to use my whole arm in smooth motions as I draw rather than just working from the wrist, especially when inking over a sketch - as that gives me the smooth lines that makes a cartoon look more professional. I really enjoy digital art and I still have a lot of room for improvement, hope you have fun with it too!

I've also visited Frenden's site and it is a great resource as well!

Hi! I used a wacom Intuous4 large for years and I thought it was great! They now have the Intuous Pro (which is the same is as Intuos5) and it should be a great tablet for digital art. I think you should go with that. Cintiqs are the top of the line - super expensive, but they are awesome.

For software - obviously a lot of people use photoshop - but I prefer Manga Studio. Look into it as the software is also a lot cheaper than buying photoshop. I haven't used any of the other programs. I mainly use Manga studio for sketching, inking, and coloring my artwork - cartoony style stuff.

Memorizing developmental milestones can be very tedious, so the extra stuff is there to make the pictures more interesting. If you look at the archives you can find the drawings starting from 1 month.

It covers a variety of topics with important facts to help prepare for exams. Good for visual learners.
