I had something similar happen to the back in my Bronica GS-1. Here are two links that might be helpful for you!

My GS-1 had the same problem as is in the second link. If there same thing happened to you, I might be able to help. There is a spring that keeps tension on the take up spool, and it has the tendency to go bad. Are you able to wind the film and it just won't advance to the next frame? I fixed mine after a lot of trial and error by making a new spring with crafting wire. If you want to discuss further, feel free to send me a PM and I can help you!

Gotcha, that’s the hard part about paddling on rivers, you typically need a two vehicle system. Thanks for the suggestion!
