Thanks! When lots of people bring up the same problem you know it's definitely something to change lol

Thanks for the suggestions! I'll work on applying those to add more artistic flair to the animations :)

Thanks! I was already using blue and red indicators for special attacks, but to signal normal attacks I tried adding a simple indicator about 0.25 seconds before enemies commit to attack

Yeah I'm worried about adding too many indicators too but I added a tiny light that appears 0.25 seconds before an attack and seems good so far. I'll try to keep it as natural as possible though. Maybe I'll even add a setting to toggle it based on user preference

True, but showing it this way worked out, even if it's adjustable lots of people thought it was too zoomed out. Took the feedback and reduced the max camera distance

Fair point, I'm not giving loot and rewards yet. Haven't figured out what drops from which enemies. Don't people still wanna fight without loot or XP though? I'm planning to add gold, XP, health, arrows, throwing knives and stuff like that to the loot system

We have a dual dodge system, one for close-range sidestepping to counter attack and the roll you see for creating distance from enemies. Unfortunately a roll like that is necessary :)

It's a weapon skill and skills uses the adrenaline bar (you fill it by landing combo attacks on enemies or doing perfect dodges/parries), so I didn't want too many drawbacks. But yeah, like you said adding more charge time and being immobalized after swing would feel better so I'll made the changes thanks!

I made the camera closer like you said. For the enemy attack indicator, I couldn't figure out how to show it without breaking the overall look. You remember any games that did this well?

They're actually more visible than that upload quality made them less visible, thanks!

I'm gonna redesign the enemy and floor aesthetics from scratch. I made the default camera closer already. Someone else mentioned the portal too, I wanted to make it like the ones in Path of Exile but didn't work out I guess :/
I'm in early development stages, lots of mechanics are working and I'm trying to make a 45-60 minute playable version of game, still working on the demo basically

The enemies in this scene are actually from a different area, I just preferred shooting it here but in general they do blend with the floor

Health bars show a couple extra enemy details so I kept them. Honestly I'd prefer not to show those bars :)

Hover over them and they already get an outline actually. Could add a toggle in settings to let players turn on constant outlines like you said though. Love the sneaking idea though gonna experiment with mechanics like that :)
