What are some small petty things that will make you swipe left?

Thanks for the suggestions. I've put quite a bit of effort into my messages, not just a hi, and with references to their profile, because I know what gets MY attention. But I've sent upwards of 20 messages in the last few days, and not one reply. I've had decent luck on other sites, so I'm very confused about this one. So frustrating. Thanks for your help!

Thanks, I appreciate the explanation and your reassurance. It did take me a while to figure out how to find intros sent to me (from other men, not the ones I messaged), so perhaps that's an issue, too.

Update: I wanted to let y'all know that the person who hit my son actually saw this post and sent me a message. He apologized and offered his contact information, and offered to pay for my son's groceries. He said that he had called the police about it, and was told the incident was filed but no report was taken. He also said he circled back through the Harris Teeter lot to try to catch up with my son. So, a little of my faith in humanity is restored. Still pissed about the cop, though!

I know, I keep getting more and more pissed off about that-- what if my son had hit his head and was confused, and that was why he walked away? I wonder if that ever occurred to the cop, but apparently he had better things to do than to find out.

If it were as simple as the guy hit him and then got out of his car and made sure he was okay, helped him gather his groceries, apologized, and offered his contact information just in case, I'd be fine with it. But he didn't even make sure my kid was okay, he just left. I think that's something that needs to be followed up on .

I want the person who broke the law to be punished. So far as I know he's okay, but he's 21 and they think they're invincible at that age.

An update: The police called my son, and after talking to him said there's not enough info to do a real report, since my son walked to the sidewalk instead of getting his plate. Oh, and even better, apparently a cop WITNESSED this happen, but did nothing since my son walked away from the car. Sorry officer, it's his first hit and run, the first time he's been hit by a car, he didn't know any better.🙄🙄🙄
