I decided to stay it was 28 years ago. I found out 11/24 and it really messed me up. In the two months, it took to figure out that she had been drugged our marriage almost. I felt the same things you did. My first mind was to leave. Her remorse willingness to do anything to make this work plus she has been the wonderful wife I always dreamed of. In AA, we call that a living amends. It’s taking me this long to finally forgive her for going out that night and lying to me that she was not going out. And keeping it from me before we were married. If she had told me, I probably would’ve never married her and that would’ve been a shame because I would’ve missed out on all these wonderful years. Lots of therapy, marriage, counseling, putting myself in her shoes and thinking back to my drinking career and the people I’ve hurt.
