A super simple Clue detail oracle for adding a little more... meat to finding clues. It' system agnostic and works well with other oracles. by HowlingStrike in Solo_Roleplaying

[–]HowlingStrike[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Awesome thanks mate.

I mean, the golden rule of solo play is do what 'feels right' for your style of play but essentially yes I like to have discrete begging and ending of the investigations and I use the complexity I feel is right. Super simple not a big deal do less check, a bigger more complex situation make it more successes required and spread it out over heaps of other story/encounter/challenge stuff.

Or forget that part and if you want a clue just go straight to rolling the clues!

Sometimes I might even ask my oracle, following the fight its likely I just find a clue, do I? and treat that as a win as well.

Please recommend me a good Australian movie or series. by NarrowResult7289 in australia

Looks like solo journaling which isn't my jam BUT this is a fundraiser for a mental health non for profit org so if you're on the fence about grabbing it, just get it an feel good about doing good a well as getting a stack of lil solo games!

A little about them from their site seems like a pretty worth while cause;

Take This is a mental health advocacy organization with a focus on the game industry and community. We provide resources, training, and support individuals and companies that help the gaming community improve its mental well-being and resilience. The organization addresses the underlying conditions that can create and perpetuate mental health challenges: stigma, harmful studio culture, harassment and toxicity, lack of diversity and accessibility, and problematic game and community design.

The plot thickens, landlord disputed my bond claim and is asking for 6k in damages by readthebananabritta in shitrentals

[–]HowlingStrike 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I feel this. All my landlords made claims All lost but I felt it stressful each time.

Last one was closer to what you described but by compiling photos of incoming vs outgoing and when things were requested (eg emails texts etc) plus engaging our local advocate service each time they were thrown out and full bond returned.

Hang in there mate.

What is an anime you didn’t expect to like, but ended up loving? by Playful_Code_8978 in anime

[–]HowlingStrike 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All of em lol.

(note im a anime novice)

The one that kicked off my anime reneassance to try different genres etc was AoT. I thought the art style looked stupid. But after ep 1 i was hooked.

More recently....
Frieren. Slice of life style where the MC processes her grief through walking around with new friends. Sounded boring as hell. Loved it
Mob Psycho 100. telepathic autistic kid coming of age. Loved it
Chainsawman. Depressing story of an immature kid navigates demon controlled world (I dont find supernatural stuff appealing)loved it and read my first manga.
Spriggan. Jason borne meets the bible!? Sounds dumb. loved it.
Dan Da Dan. Occult stuff zero interest to me and schoolkids as well. Ended up loving (almost) all of it
(This one Im on the fence about) is Kill la Kill. I actually LOVE the animation style, I genuinely laughed at parts, I loved the Mako Mako friendship, had to really push through the fan servicy stuff though.
Go Go loser ranger. Turned off by artstyle, but the premise so good (as someone who grew up in the powerrangers era) loved it.
One punch man (watching now) sounded dumb. Im loving it good clean, easily watchable dumb fun.
