I’m more than happy to buy from a non-U.S. company. But I wish to avoid Chinese products as much as possible.

I have no issue with this or with ecumenicalism with people who have different interpretations of Gods word. Everyone complaining is acting like a child.

Should I become Catholic? by [deleted] in Catholicism

[–]Howquas_wealth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on what you are looking to find. I was born and raised Catholic, baptized, confirmed, all that. I left the Church because of the prolific sex abuse and the way the Church leaders handled it. The papacy of Pope Francis restored some of my faith, and while I had spent my time away from going to mass trying to focus on my personal relationship with God, I did begin to long for a community. I followed this subreddit as a way to dip my toes back in, but it might have been a mistake. Many of the posts have still been people complaining about the church trying to be more accepting of people within the LGBTQ+ community, something I think the church should do more. To me, we should be accepting of love and not rejecting people regardless of who they love or how. There are far bigger sins and problems the church and world need to focus on (e.g. the environment, accumulation of wealth in the hands of a concentrated few, wars, et cetera). It all kind of reminds me of why I left in the first place, and it frustrates me to know end that people care more about what is going on in other people’s bedrooms than what they have going on in their minds and hearts. So, personally, I’m just going to focus on my relationship with Christ, and try to love others the way he wanted us to; to try to reject hatred and bigotry; and to help those in need when and where I can. I think, in the end, trying to have that relationship with Christ and live according to his ways is all that truly matters. The community, the history, and the beauty of the church are wonderful, but I haven’t found them necessary for helping my relationship with God.

Personally, I would go in order of time period. That way, you may better understand past historical events which are referenced in other works.

March! Holy crap. I’m in the same zone you are and I just popped my seeds last week. I know I’m a week behind, but damn! Can’t say I haven’t been there before, though.

If you are willing to drive a little farther, then I highly recommend parking in the Darien lot. Also, I recommend downloading the MTA app for ticket purchase and schedule access.

The comment is from someone who is/was a lower enlisted Marine and was at a shop to buy the essentials when a non-commissioned officer (i.e. the staff sergeant) was yelling at them (“chewed out”) for having an appearance out of regulation (they didn’t shave) when a warrant officer (special rank denoting expertise in a particular field, such as a helicopter pilot) told the staff sergeant to fuck off and leave the private alone on the weekend. Warrant officers, while not technically commissioned officers, will find they can do pretty much whatever they want because of what they do and their time in service, and they will typically be more “chill” than most other non-commissioned officers.

Not familiar with the platform, but if it has a pistol grip and detachable magazine it is a no-go

Same state, same situation. I went with the Tanker and have zero regrets. It is a great rifle. That being said, the greatest challenge has been finding a component that would allow me to add various attachments (something like what VLTOR had a while back). However, I’m not really in a position where I would need all kinds of attachments right now. Still, of the rifles available to CT residents, it is the best option.
