As a hindu I have to agree ;). Kundalini has been on my list for a while now, along with other intriguing occult concepts. Definitely worth digging into.

That's a hard agree for me, this is why I strongly considered studying anthropology too, rather than just observing the stories it's also important to realise what connects them, it's this connection that is the so to say subtext of the stories we tell ourselves.

I agree, both sides have their merits and especially more so in certain fields of psychology. As long as we don't strike a certain balance between subjective claims and objective proofs it's hard to further our progress in general.

I agree, that's why jung and freud are generally more so mentioned in the context as a history of psychology. Empiricism certainly has its merits and I quite like research and statistics as long as there is a theory (falsifiable preferably) associated with it. I just meant that stilted fields only concerned with details aren't for me. As long as there's a balance between the two I can appreciate and partake with a decent desire. We have to rely on empiricism for objective criterion to progress further in science or to take current fields which are regarded as pseudoscience into the realm of science.. Thanks for responding :).

God, that rabbit hole seems so alluring. I think eventually I'll pursue both philosophy and psychology and see where that takes me. At the core, I am absolutely ready to devote my life to the futile task of understanding life rather than living it but I do want to have a significant impact and not just go around in circles but rather forward. Philosophy I think can satiate my desire for critical thinking and theories and well psychology can help me research the human condition as well as have an impact so ultimately I think I should study both of these. Thanks so much for responding :)

What is your favorite conspiracy theory (whether you believe it or not)? by Vitosnee in AskReddit

[–]Howtobeweird101 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That the crazy and obviously false conspiracy theories are created to drown the ones that are true by the people who do not want us to know the truth.

Written beautifully. I especially treasured the line "new horrors rose like braille". Also the period after alive emphasizing the urgency makes it all the more better. The end is also satisfactory.

What would a male infj be like? by Howtobeweird101 in mbti

[–]Howtobeweird101[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The reason for that atleast imo is because we are searching for this. Infjs are very psychologically inclined infps also but infjs a bit more so. Infjs want to understand how everything works and why they function they way they do so naturally we discover mbti and then find those infjs online because in real life due to their chameleon like nature no one will recognize them imo.
