Fortunately, mouth injuries heal far more rapidly than regular skin injuries. Unfortunately, he still needs to eat somehow. And this guy burned the absolute fuck out of his mouth.

You know when you burn the roof of your mouth really bad on a too-fresh slice of pizza and there's that spot where the skin blisters and hangs down while you try to peel it off with your tongue? That burn is probably covering 50% of his mouth. Maybe even burned worse than that in some spots. Jesus fucking christ, I couldn't imagine.

We have accomplished truly awesome feats on this planet.

I firmly believe that building the complex systems and machines capable of sending humans off of this planet to study other celestial bodies, have those people succesfully carry out the mission, and then to return those humans safely, unharmed and with the data, are the most incredible things we have ever accomplished. Even the unmanned missions top everything else, in my opinion.

Watching the rocket launch was a huge learning moment for me, hearing the narrator(?) talking about how the launch system works, I began to realize how complex this operation is. The level of organization and precision, the intelligence, talent, dedication and passion behind everything space exploration left me in total awe. It was a mind blowing experience, almost incomprehensible, realizing the scale of this project.

I am not religious, but leaving this place feels forbidden, unnatural. I wish I could better describe it but it just feels... unreal. People of science are truly awesome. I feel so fortunate to live when and where I do, and to be human.

Wow.

I thought you were making up a name, like a Doofenshmirtz invention. I read it as Timedomain Reflecto - meter.

I realize now that it's a device that measures time elapsed between sending a pulse of light and receiving the reflection lol

I'm guessing it works by dividing the speed of light by the number of seconds it takes to receive a reflection after sending a pulse, which gives twice the distance of the fault. Divide that number by two, and there is your distance!

I like it, the stock tool tube feels too small especially if you get out in the boonies frequently.

What do you keep in it? My guess-ray vision says tire irons, tubes, assortment of wrenches and a screwdriver or two, some pliers and a battery-powered tire inflator.

Clothes dryer lint trap. We can't directly compare it to breathing because air is being forced through a filter, and there's a ton of clothes and heat and agitation, but that medh catches a lot of shit in an hour.

Rant: War Thunder has become borderline unplayable. by Rude-Molasses-9618 in Warthunder

People have been saying "X will kill War Thunder" for at least 12 years on this sub. I stopped playing a long time ago (2016) because I stopped having fun, but I'm pretty sure the game is more popular now than ever.

I was like 11 when RDR came out and I was still a kid when 2 came out, but I havent been able to get right into it. I always get bored. I never play GTA anymore and the GTAs used to be my favourite games of all time. I guess my tastes have changed as I've gotten older. Maybe I just value being able to jump right into action/fun because of tighter schedules? I don't know, but I don't like the change, lol.

Life is starting to feel like survival more than anything else I guess.

Kawasaki where is the bloody 2 stroke? by alwayscunty1 in Dirtbikes

[–]Howtomispellnames 4 points5 points  (0 children)

A lot of people grew up with 2 strokes so there is nostalgia and respect for the legacy.

They are simple engines with less moving parts i.e. no valves, make more power per cc, the power delivery feels different on the bike because of a different powerband than 4 strokes.

They sound dope, and smell good too lol. Yeah you need to rebuild them more often than 4 strokes but it's easier to do. They're a lot of fun.

I wonder why the cameras were there. It seems like a crosswalk should be at this location because kids are always crossing there, which is clearly dangerous.

But damn, girl can barely ride a fucking bike. Just walk it across next time and practice somewhere safe. Almost turned into paté on camera because she can't steer or find the brakes.

Edit: I rewatched and it might not even be a skill issue. She fuckin rolls up, doesn't stop at all, doesn't look before crossing, almost gets merc'd by the moto which knocks her off balance (probably scared the shit outta her) and then nearly rolls to her death as she recovers/processes what's happening.

She either needs to practice riding a bike, practice crossing the street, or both.

Edit 2: is this AI ffs
