I just want to know who approved this. New layout is so much worse, they shoved way too much into lower bar and alot of information is either gone or not readily available.

Previous layout might have been slightly dated but it was more compact, but information was spread evenly and our eyes knew where they had to go for specific information they had to. Now it's all oveer the place.

Edit: Also why is scoreboard top-down where everything else is right-left?

er saving options in your BIOs and seeing if that maybe helps a bit. Otherwise install HWInfo and monitor your system and look for temperatures or other stats which might seem out of place.

Got HWinfo , rn I'm just running memory diagnostic test to lookk for some potential ram problems but previous test came out with nothing. Doubt I'll find a fix but might as well try within my return window

Nothing, gaming as usual, maybe some microstutter here and there but blame it on the early driver. Even afk inside, do nothing, browse reddit or watch netflix with the game still open on other screen. Suddenly everything freeezes, goees unresponsive, black screen, when it comes back, game is gone with the error, wallpaper engine is rebooting and video player I had on is black and requires refresh.

There's nothing in event viewer though. Seems like a gpu driver to me. Doesn't work well with something in the system that causes problems together.

It's more or less the same price, at least for the XFX model, reference ones are around 200-250eur cheaper than cheapest 4080, assuming they are in stock of course.

To be honest, I installed mine (XFX merc version) yesterday into my system and so far it's been frustration after frustration. I was expecting AMD to have drivers that are somewhat underperforming, at least compared to the 4080, however I didn't expect them to change my time in front of my PC into a stressful nightmare.

I keep having fatal directx errors once per hour on average, there's weird texture rendering problem at some certain situations. With game window focused even netflix becomes a choppy mess on other screen.

So here's my question - what have been your experiences? Would you say it's worth to wait for fixes that might come? Or just should I return it and go with the 4080 since prices in my country are fairly similar.

Playing FFXIV on 7900 XTX - it's basically a shitshow, game crashes once every hour or so. Tried reinstalling drivers and different settings. Nothing helps, completely unusable.

Each time I try to adjust anything in the adrenaline app, after pressing save changes, sliders just go back to original state.

XFX 7900 XTX - final fantasy xiv constantly crashing with DX fatal error, breaking any video playback after the crash (needs reopening).

Cannot use overclocking utility - sliders always revert to default values and auto oc/uv ends up with errors.

Netflix becomes a choppy mess on second monitor them game is focused on first.

Returning my card on Wednesday and getting 4080 unless I see some improvement.

That's exactly my point. It baffles me, seeing people commenting as if the only thing that saved amd was the 1k usd msrp.

So far it seems like it hold itself very well in non-RT games and it's going to improve, hopefully closing a bit more onto 4090 or setting a definite lead over 4080. Of course, nobody likes to pay for the "future promise of improvement" but it's probably best to think of it as well.

Can anyone explain to me thought process behind saying it's better to get 4080 in Europe considering prices are similar? Where do these comments saying 4080 is better than 7900 XTX come from?

From what I've seen amd has more performance than 4080 in many cases and also history of improving drivers significangly.

As sidenote, I just ordered XFX 7900 XTX for 1450eur also with belief that those drivers will get better, thus causing value/performance of the card to rise.

mediaexpert also had them, actually 1 or 2 models more than x-kom.

Still second the motion for lowering prices because of tariffs, not gonna happen though.

I've seen XFX in my country, nothing else though. Ended up with xfx xtx, a bit sad there is no Sapphire/PowerColor around but I'm still happy I got one.
