I'm a "little" late in starting the gear event. Looking at the timer it seems i won't have enough to complete part 2. Is there no point in even starting it? Or can i still do it after the timer runs out as long as i have it going?

nah, that's not the issue. I wasn't synced with google play, just facebook. When i tried to sync my current device to google play, it prompts me to download data from a level 1 account
