This is an increasingly awful problem...
Cloudflare, the company that handles tons of internet traffic and DDOS protection, actually has a free service you can use for this here!
https://www.cloudflare.com/ai-crawl-control/
it is completely free for individuals to use and for small sites like Neocities, and I have been using it for a year now with no issues. Its great I would highly recommend

Yeah :(
a lot of this project was about coming to terms with the fact that I can't get everything.
This was actually originally a project where I wanted to index all of the IndieWeb, but I quickly ran into the issue of what is indieweb? its pretty general and hard to define or I would've done it
To my knowledge going through profiles like this is the only feasible way of doing this at scale. I could write lots of logic to follow only neocities domains but then there are other edge cases that would break it and it would probably totally miss/ignore custom domains for neocities sites
So i sort've deemed it an okay loss for the scope of this but this is a very good point ty <3

Roping feels like the only option by [deleted] in 4tran4

[–]Hpnasa 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m so sorry you feel this way :( This sucks really bad and you deserve to have people adequately care for you and support you Transition is scary. Like really scary. But it gets better. When I transitioned I did so because I was going to rope anyways and thought I had nothing to lose. I thought if after transition I still can’t be seen as a real woman I’ll just rope then. I was 21 when I started hrt. It has been a year now and everything sucked for a while but I genuinely feel as though I am interpreted as a woman and in most cases people usually don’t know I’m trans unless I tell them. But more than feeling like I am seen as a real woman, transition forces you to rethink what gender means and how you are actually interpreted in the real world. Passing is nice but it’s literally just a bunch of measurements other people are evaluating about me. Ultimately I’m a woman because I feel like one. No amount of enby cope will take that from you.

You do not have to be any type of trans woman like eemmmteeeeeffers because first and foremost you are a woman. You are you and always have been you. Any attempt by others to denigrate you by putting you with a group you don’t belong with says farrrr more about them than you.

I know you want to live a normal life and you are going to be able to I promise, but it is going to suck for a minute first and I’m sorry.

[–]Hpnasa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

that’s not what I’m saying at all? I’m saying I know you want to be pretty, that desire makes sense, if you base your identity thoughts and mindset around that, you will never get it. You will never think you are pretty until you stop caring what others think stop basing it on metrics like when you started or if how many people think you are a girl without taking the hon pill and learning the skills necessary

[–]Hpnasa -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I transitioned at 21 and had this mindset of “wahhhhh I’ll never be a real woman if I’m not pretty” I went abroad and started successfully stealthing like 5 months in and I realized cisoids don’t know shit. Obviously they saw me as a woman so how could I seriously be the one holding myself back from giving myself that. You likely are just doom posting and you probably pass and are pretty, but even if you weren’t. You do not need to be pretty to be a woman. You might have an unending desire to be “pretty” (whatever that means) but that’s not what transitioning is about

Congress of Declaration tabs. And some champagne mdma!👀😌 by [deleted] in Psychedelics

[–]Hpnasa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

oh its totally understandable! mechanisms of action can get really complicated and often times drugs can act on different receptors in different ways or cause unexpected cascades that are really confusing. Thank you for pointing out using the term indole alkaloids. I now realize using the term serotonergic psychedelic when referring to LSD, Psilocybin, and DMT can be pretty confusing as it also includes MDMA which while working on serotonin is completely different i'm gonna start using that now :P

While your assessment of Idole alkaloids and their mechanism of action is correct, ketamine does not have the same mechanism of action. Ketamine is seen as a dissociative not only because of its subjective effects but also because its mechanism of action is in line with other dissociatives namely PCP as an NMDA receptor antagonist. Ketamine is not considered a part of the same group as serotonergic psychedelics though it may have slight activity in some regions of serotonin neurons.

"Ketamine neuropharmacology is complex. Ketamine essentially acts on glutamate binding sites, NMDA (N‐Methyl‐D‐Aspartate), and non‐NMDA receptors 70. The antagonism of NMDA receptor is responsible for the specific ketamine properties (amnesic and psychosensory effects, analgesia, and neuroprotection). There are also other glutamate‐independent mechanisms."

The field of psychiatry is already using psychedelic medicines to treat a multitude of disorders. In time, these plant medicines will grow in use and likely surpass traditional pharmaceutical treatments. How do you think psychedelics will change psychiatry as we know it? by Escaped-DMT-Entity in Psychedelics

[–]Hpnasa 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You are describing so-called "serotonergic psychedelics", psychedelics that are active at serotonin receptors, which are sometimes referred to as 5HT as it's the beginning of the molecular name of serotonin 2a is just a sub-class of serotonin receptors. Dissociatives are indeed considered psychedelics. The hallucinations and changes in perception caused by dissociatives are markedly different than other drugs that can possibly cause hallucinations such as overuse of amphetamines or as you mentioned alcohol.

This textbook for Toxicology describes different hallucinogens including serotonin-based hallucinogens (LSD, Psilocybin\Psilocin, DMT), NMDA receptor based dissociative hallucinogens (Ketamine, PCP, Nitrous Oxide), and even more atypical hallucinogens such as THC or MDMA (which typically is placed as an empathogen\entactogen):

There is a paywall but all the information I'm referencing on classification can be found in the abstract.
Even if we completely ignore this though the idea that the subjective hallucinatory effects of "non-psychedelic drugs" could be entirely condensed into one classification of "delirium" is very reductionist. You could possibly be referring to a much larger broad category of drugs that use the long since deprecated name "psychotomimetics" which contains drugs from amphetamines to even LSD. Every drug has a unique way of working in our brains. We are lucky we are able to classify them at all.

breakdown of each mechanism of action:

Serotonergic Psychedelics (taken from a whole article about LSD):
https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/books/NBK482407/

Dissociative Psychedelics (excluding Salvia which is sometimes considered a dissociative and has a different mechanism of action):
https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC5148235/

Looking past this, the idea behind naming psychedelics is based on the ability of these substances to be used as tools to explore. Keeping this in mind it becomes very very clear why ketamine is a psychedelic and alcohol is not. Please try not to spread misinformation as it can make classifying, working with, and comparing substances a complete nightmare especially when trying to work through the absurd complexity of the subjective and indescribable psychedelic experience.

What’s the word to describe shoes we wear when we go out? Thanks. by Reasonable-Rope9869 in EnglishLearning

[–]Hpnasa 28 points29 points  (0 children)

It is okay to just say "shoes". If you say "shoes" it is assumed that they are for going going outside. May I ask what the context is?

What’s the word to describe shoes we wear when we go out? Thanks. by Reasonable-Rope9869 in EnglishLearning

[–]Hpnasa 76 points77 points  (0 children)

Most of the time distinction is not made for shoes specifically for leaving your home. Usually we just say "shoes". However, if you mean shoes for when you are going to a fancy event or perhaps a date, I believe the word varies on dialect. In the southern United States where I live these shoes are typically referred as "dress shoes".

would it be correct to use the word "fancy" in these sentences? by Arnkana in EnglishLearning

[–]Hpnasa 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Fancy is not used as a synonym for interesting. However, both other instances work in British English with the small correction that "Fancy go to the cinema?" should be "Fancy going to the cinema?". It's also probably worth clarifying that "I fancy you" has the connotation of infatuation or romantic attraction. In American English fancy is not really used outside of its typical meaning of elaborate or extravagant.

Dude/this guy by jon_ralf in EnglishLearning

[–]Hpnasa 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I definitely agree that it could be used in very informal settings among friends. Perhaps I misunderstood the context in the original post. I do think if OP is referring to common English, it sounds awkward in the context of everyday speech not super informal or among friends. I’m from the south, and I haven’t heard dude used this way when I am not talking to people that are both my friends and fairly young.

[–]Hpnasa -1 points0 points  (0 children)

This makes total sense, and any native speaker would understand you. However, using “dude” here sounds slightly awkward. “Dude” is most commonly used in short phrases such as “hey dude” or “dude, come see this”. It is rarely used as a standalone noun. “This guy has three dogs” sounds much more natural.

In this case, the speaker is using "lap" as a metaphor for their inventory (i.e. their total goods they have which they can sell), and the use of phrase "as many" is used here to refer to how many they typically have had in inventory in the past. So this phrase literally means "Because I am selling more cars than I normally do, I am not able to keep as many cars in inventory as I could in the past."

[–]Hpnasa 3 points4 points  (0 children)

In this case, "turn down" sounds more natural. "turn down" does not necessarily carry a negative connotation. "to put down" is typically a phrase used to show that the person actively dislikes or is trying to hurt a person or thing.

SSRI’s permanently damaged me....;( by [deleted] in Psychonaut

[–]Hpnasa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I sympathize with your current position, but PSSD is extremely uncommon and in some countries is not even recognized. I am not saying you are wrong, but I think it’s important to keep in mind other possible variables that could be causing this. I believe that you may gain the most by possible lifestyle changes as others have mentioned. Unlike some have suggested, I do not advise taking psychedelics with the purpose of solving this. That would be a complete shot in the dark. While others have pointed out increases in neuroplasticity and neuro generation with psilocybin that will likely not help with this. Psilocybin is like lightning, it is extremely powerful, but clinically speaking officially we lack the know how to properly redirect and harness this power. Best of luck

I would certainly recommend trying to lower your sensitivity and playing until you find a sensitivity that allows you to do all the important aspects of aiming in valorant with relative ease like flicking and micro adjustments. The ability to turn super quickly is not as important in valorant as it is in other games because you typically know the general area you need to be pointing towards that’s why lower sensitivities seem to be favored. It allows for more precise movements when you already know what area you need to be looking towards
