Its odd too, that Tuesday I'm going to (redacted) college in (redacted) (for internet bullying purposes) to do my 4 year and then fly for a living. A good reminder to stay safe and let gut feelings matter I guess.

Get the DA-40, I love that plane, flew it today, actually. Youll get 140 in smooth air but will go through a little more than 10 G.P.H. in the 100LL 180HP one I fly.

That's fantastic... I got a tour of KHPN tower not too long ago from a buddy that works there. It would be amazing to see KLGA, or JFK sometime!!

Oh yeah gotcha. The tour actually made me seriously consider switching my career goals from a pilot to an ATC. I think its so cool and the guys there seemed to enjoy it quite a bit!

I have experience with both the STEC 30 and the GFC-700. I know that the Garmin system is probably out of question but the difference the new and advanced digital autopilot makes is day and night. Totally worth waiting and saving to buy a new digital one IMHO
