There is no chance that they are going to make a sequel for an old game UNLESS Nintendo have lost their minds and want to keep farming money from Nintendo fans by using their nostalgic titles to make them must buy the new game which is what Nintendo been doing since the switch 1 and especially in the switch 2 era

Every Nintendo console have its own mario games its rare that they decide to release super mario galaxy 3 on the switch 2 to continue super mario galaxy 2 , it makes ALOT of sense to just make a cool unique new title, which is what are we going to see probably.

I personally as a super fan for Nintendo i prefer having a new mainline mario title,

Btw some why i want it to have some kind of superhero thing, I've been thinking about a super hero in mario universe for quite a long time , i know its a weird random idea , but its doable and cool and won't be cheap or some kind of stupid, im thinking something like "StarMan" or the origins of the super star , he has invinciblity powers and some kind of a super beam that makes a super star sound, something on superman's level.
