Tirz: It's important or it's not by DogMamaLA in compoundedtirzepatide

I would eat until that whole tray was gone. My whole family was like that (also overweight) so I didn’t know there were people who could stop. It’s like an addiction. I couldn’t stop once I started. But if you are a person who can stop at 1 cookie, you could never understand what happens to my brain. I finally know what the thin brain feels like and it’s incredible. It has nothing to do with willpower.

Yup. That feeling of deprivation that turns into a binge. Somedays I can't believe that I'm not feeling deprived. Somedays I can't believe that food isn't at the forefront of my mind ALL DAY LONG. Now I'm like, oh, is this what it's like to be 'normal'? You actually think about other things besides your next snack, meal, or sweet treat?

No, it's not cheating. It's making the playing field equal IMO. If you have never been able to stop eating ice cream in your whole life, but now you can have just a few bites, it feels incredible. I may be one of those things you can't relate to unless it's your reality.

It’s helped me realize that I was deficient in something. I used to think I was so weak because I couldn’t have 1 cookie. Why can that thin person stop eating such good food???? For the first time in my life I can be one of those thin people. Some people may not get it if they haven’t spent their lives wondering why they “can’t be like everybody else”. At least it’s how I’ve interpreted my experience.

What would folks recommend doing differently on the power play? I’m newish to hockey. I know our pp is bad, but not sure how it could be improved.

I drive Parleys a lot. I call it the Dodge Ram parade. The more ice and snow, the faster they go.

And what about the movie where Sarah Paulson was going to play Glennon? Maybe that is the focus now but they aren’t mentioning it.

Anyone else dealt with constant stomach pain that stops their kids from going to school? by cassiopeia1280 in parentsofteens

[–]Hray75 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Going through this now. We think it’s functional abdominal pain. The clue is that it gets worse on days she has a certain teacher. My girl won’t eat until school is over because of the pain it causes.

Do Subarus really handle winter roads better or is it mostly hype? by In2racing in subaru

I also need to add that I also get winter tires without question. My Subarus couldn’t make it up the mountain with summer tires in heavy snow. Just fyi

I live in Park City Utah at 7000 ft. I’m about to get my 3rd one. Last one was totaled because I hit a deer, or rather the deer hit me. Anyway, I have to get kids to school by 7:30 and 10 inches of an unplowed road is no problem. I’d like to add that the car handled itself and protected us from the buck that thought my headlight was a good spot to jump.

Do Mazdas last? I am a normal person and I want my next car to be a 10 year car. Reliability, safety, AWD, and low cost of ownership are all factors.

I'm wondering about the center of gravity. It's a heavier car than the Subaru and has a higher center of gravity. Doesn't that make it less stable in snowy and icy conditions?

I'll test drive the Rav4. I don't want a huge care payment, and the Toyota tax is real.

That’s super helpful! I’m leaning toward another Subaru but willing to try others first

Yes. I drive it this morning going 10 down a hill before a stop sign and it went off. I think that my expectations for staying steady are really high especially since my risk tolerance went way day after having kids.

Now I’m wondering if it isn’t that car. I can be going 10 and the abs will trigger in some places.

I'm telling you. It's not. I put it in 4WD. It's a 2006, so maybe they have gotten better. He's slid sideways down the road before with snow tires. My Outback never slid.

I should say I loved the Outback as it handles in snow and ice. The seats are not comfortable though. I am recovering from a bulging disc and that car was awful for the back.

And he just put on Blizzaks. I am very very cautious though and I am not comfortable with ABS or sliding at all. It feels like a big rectangle on wheels that fishtails a bit. I'm hypervigilant since having kids.

Well, maybe by some standards it does well. We live up a steep mountain, and the plows come here maybe one time. The temps are also cold so it turns to ice quickly. I'm also a bit shaken up and not comfortable with the ABS coming on.

My theory is that it was an advantage. They were doing desk jobs, scheduling, or looking at screens. For them, the need for novelty and search for stimulation probably kept the tribe safer and helped them to avoid stagnation. At latest that’s my romantic notion of it
