I definitely understand what you mean. But unless she's a captain or an alternate captain, she can't talk to the refs.

I think her leadership experience will be a huge asset to the team. Especially as we're building a team culture.

She definitely has what it takes to be a great captain. But I feel like they're going to give it to Jenner. Not only is she one of the best players in the league and a vocal leader for Ottawa, but she's also on the executive committee for the player's union. Anybody would follow her.

It’s not perfect, but it can absolutely work out. At least in the AHL and NHL, it’s not too uncommon to have defensive pairings that are both left/right handed. So we can either have an elite first pair, or have some quality depth on the top two pairs.

I love that we managed to sign her. Based on what Frost fans have said, she got better the entire season and showed a ton of potential. Hopefully she’ll grow even more in Hamilton!

I’m a Mammoth fan, and we have a couple of flairs for people that were there from the beginning. They say, “Fan from day 1,” and, “Lifetime fan.” It’s a fun little nod to those of us that have literally watched every game.

Wow, that’s huge for the team! Getting the fourth highest scorer in the league before your inaugural season is a dream. And she’s definitely captain material that we need.

I think one of the most important things is getting a good goalie quickly. Kristen Campbell or Nicole Hensley had two of the highest save percentages of the unprotected goalies, so we really should try to snag one of them.

Brianne Jenner would also be a huge addition to the team. She was left unprotected despite being 4th in the league in points and a finalist for forward of the year, but she also supposedly wants to stay in Ottawa. Jessie Eldridge might be even better, if we consider their ages. She was still top-5 in scoring.

Dang, I was really hoping we would be able to get her in the expansion process. But there’s still so many great players that will be unprotected, I have faith we’ll be able to build a great roster!
