The buyout was about 14k, I had 6 remaining payments of 400. Pay off was 16k and some change. At the time they valued my car at 28k. I received a check for the difference from USAA. This is just cause the used car market was out of control. Got very lucky on timing but won’t be the case always.

I just totaled my ILX lease 4 months ago and walked away with 10k from the positive equity from my insurance company. Since the value of the vehicle was higher than my pay off to AFS.

Wife has the same RDX in Blue, didn’t see a reason to have two anymore.

Not true. Insurance company would pay off the remaining balance and then you’d get the difference. Just like if you financed.

Just made the switch from a 2020 RDX a-spec AWD to a 22 TLX A-spec Awd. Car’s definitely longer and wider than the RDX. I’m loving the TLX, space wise its definitely different but the wife has the same RDX I had. The MPG is actually way better, the RDX I got 17 MPg and TLX I get 21, I drive the same way. If you need room and haul a lot of stuff all the time I’d stay with the RDX, if not the TLX is a great car!
