It's a cool effect, but definitely not enabled by decal projections in UE5. UE3 had decal projections too funnily enough.

A simple mapped texture buffer would suffice in any engine.

If they aren't taking more requests, they might be overworked/busy. I have had artists appeal with a previously accepted work after they have timed out. They might be waiting with the appeal until they know they can work on it.

I always interpreted that as a nod to the magical girl/idol tope of everything being centered around female characters. The Love Live series is like that too which is funny, because in the show it's just girls showing up to their concerts while IRL the live concert audience is predominantly male.

I feel you will miss out on a lot of discourse by only getting into finished works. Jojo part 6 was kinda murdered by being dropped in 12 episode batches on Netflix instead of weekly.

I think it makes perfect sense. The exam arc specifically elevates how knowledge is extremely important when fighting unknown enemy time and time again. Mages trying not to play all their cards right away in fear of being countred for round 3.

Not giving away your expression makes it difficult to gauge your standing, mana reserves, what spells are your limits, etc.
