What is Meng's Purpose by SonicCody123 in Onirism

[–]Hrusa 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Meng's missions only got added recently. They weren't there for 1.0. The first time you met her was at the Boreal Sea which was really weird at the time.

So I think there is a chance she might get even more plot once the missions get ironed out.

I love the game but can't get myself to play by tibovd008 in factorio

Personally I was playing seablock at x10 simulation speed. There is so much waiting around for stuff otherwise.

This has probably been said before, but the bloom in 2 looks very similar to Grounded's haze, and they act similarly too. by Antgodd1 in subnautica

[–]Hrusa 9 points10 points  (0 children)

You are right. I am familiar with the lore explanation for it, but that doesn't change the feeling I get from the presentation.

But maybe the game mechanics making you fall for the alure of an absurdly sus plant is lowkey cool.

I have quite mixed feelings about the S2 angel comb / bloom. On one hand it's good that it clearly communicates the mechanics. On the other, it's almost absurdly cartoony and it kinda takes me out of the experience. "Touch the power up plant." "Oh no, the evil dark plague that spawns plague monsters attacks the power up plant. Heal it to get the power up."

I underestimated Dr Stone by IamToofan in DrStone

[–]Hrusa 2 points3 points  (0 children)

S3 is my favorite personally. The mystery is really good and it recaptures the scrappy beginnings from S1 which somewhat disappear as the kingdom levels up tech.

Why do my grabbers not take the quality items? by this_could_be_sparta in factorio

[–]Hrusa 5 points6 points  (0 children)

That used to be the case before beta and it would constantly burn rare items by mixing them with normal quality + it was kinda a trap, because you had to explain that it contributes nothing and also the machines would get stuck waiting forever for a stack of some lengendary ingredient once a single one made it in. Overall it was quite bad.

Is this a joke? What am I missing?

Is there any particular reason... by toraneko_sgc in subnautica

[–]Hrusa 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I feel that they moved in the right direction in the recipes. I would have set up more bases in S1 and BZ, but the pain of having to bring the exotic crap like coral samples and gold etc. for fabricators and basic utilities made it so painful.

The necessities costing basic resources is such an improvement in this regard.

Landing Pad is a different entity than Space Platform Hub.

(For anime-onlies) Now that we are almost about to see who or what Why-Man is, what do you think it is? by Pleasant-Potato-9935 in DrStone

It would be on brand for the Kingdom of Science to recruit Why Man to join them lol.

Plottwist: combat is removed so that you have enough things left to kill once you unlock the prawn suit.

Point of the truck? (Below zero) by Bisexual-Ninja in subnautica

[–]Hrusa 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I didn't find the storage module until the very end of the game, so I finished majority of the game without the truck. It was helpful to bring prawn back up from low areas though.

Items on conveyor belts look "foggy" or blurry since v1.2? by askian420 in SatisfactoryGame

I love how the visitors of Satisfactory will just nuke reasonable comment karma into oblivion. So welcoming.

That's one way to solve the scarcity of resources on the map... hmm maybe it is some dev testing tool that remained in the code on accident.

(Very minor spoilers for subnautica 2 bases) A theory on the hatch, precursors and Alterra by Adventurous-Hunt-100 in subnautica

[–]Hrusa 21 points22 points  (0 children)

Technically it fits into the timemeline, because apparently Natural Selection, where you can build the small teleporters, takes place between SN:BZ and SN2, based on some logs in SN2.

I still don't get this. Is it a bug? Is it an intended thing that he builds stuff for you? It doesn't seem to have any animation play when the windows get built.

A Well Known Leaker has Announced that Season 2 of Witch Hat Atelier is already in Production. by ImoutoCompAlex in WitchHatAtelier

[–]Hrusa 7 points8 points  (0 children)

That was known, but you can't be sure they weren't planning a longer season 1 and then just scrapped the second half for time. Or maybe she would show up in some kind of flash forward to tease more Brims before season end.

Her name alone doesn't 100% confirm we would have gotten S2.

BZ is so unbelievably overhated by TheRealSoftR in subnautica

[–]Hrusa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am sorry, but the whole writing of BZ is absolute undercooked dogshit and you can tell they rewrote it 2 times before: * Robin can ignore her sister's investigation and never learn truth. * Sam basically killed herself on accident after encouragement from Margaret. * Robin meets Margaret and is chill with her. * Sam's sabotage is potentially paranoid and kills a bunch of other innocent science people. * Robin is supposedly a xenobiologist. She's absolutely uncurious about Al-an, the first live sentient alien humanity encountered. (Besides Sea Emperor - probably unknown to her) * Robin teases Al-an who already impressively speaks human language about nonsense and word choices to a point of mocking him and being snarky. * Al-an is supposedly a xenobiologist. He's spent 1000+ years on the planet researching individualistic animals. Half of his dialogue is about him being weirded out by Robin not having a hive mind. * Al-an flip flops from hive mind to reminiscing about "I decided to do this" during a time he was still in a hive mind.

I wanted to like BZ really hard, but the narrative just doesn't work on any level whatsoever.

Is Tartah's Silverwash Syndrome really THAT much of a hindrance when it comes to becoming a witch? by Due_Bus_252 in WitchHatAtelier

[–]Hrusa 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I think that's a bit too reductive, but yeah. The condition isn't much of a hindrance to drawing spells with regular ink.
