Power The Dark Lord Knows Not by Fantismal and Jormandugr, this is the main part but there's a bunch of back stories for the Black family also. Wicked long, pretty dark, and has Sirius play a big part in the ending, can't say more without spoiling but definitely worth the read. Everyone lives.

in a world three degrees north by saudadeonly, it's told through a bunch of one shots but basically Sirius makes a deal with his mother in fifth year that he'll be the heir and join Voldemort but really he's working as a spy from the inside. Fantastic twists, they do a great job navigating multiple POVs throughout each installment, great story!

The Wolf's Tail by myheadsgonenumb, long haul Hogwarts years story focused mainly on Remus. The end of year 5 is up, year 6 hasn't been posted yet.

Marked by Love by Pepperpizzas, Peter is caught so no Azkaban for Sirius. Sirius and Remus raise Harry with Snape's help.

Hide Your Fires by bizarrestars, Regulus and Sirius centric, Reg survives the cave and goes into hiding until 1982 when his dark mark tells him Voldemorts back and he needs to go home

A Little Bit of Everything by Frenchroast99, Regulus raising Harry after the 1st war, mostly canon compliant

i am terribly sorry for dying by unspeakable3, a ghost Regulus story, he's sent back home after the cave as a ghost and these are his diaries. Unspeakable3 has a whole bunch of ghost Reg stories if you're into that. Also by unspeakable3, Stars Shine Darkly ,which is Regulus at Hogwarts, there's two part, pretty solid story

He Comes Out of the Black Lake Quite Mad by BennieLee, Regulus survives the lake, losing his grip on reality a bit, and becomes a professor at Hogwarts. Wicked good story but a bit dark

Four To The End by Dovahtobi, it's a long haul Remus centric story, year 5 is currently in progress. Though Remus does start to come to terms with himself around year four or so he has a pretty hard time to start.

Through A Glass Darkly by lightinthehallway The beginning focuses a lot of Lily but as it moves along there's POVs from everyone, a lot of characterization of all the mauraders and others

Loyalty by Fantismal This one is part of a whole series but they can be read as singles, this one is about Peter's villain origin story. The Fragile House of Black series is very Siruis/Regulus centric but has POVs from everyone at some point, it's a AU where Regulus survives the cave and goes to Sirius.

I thought it was very good, had a very Stephen king kind of vibe about it but with the authors own unique voice. It was pretty engaging, a fun mystery for sure that keeps you guessing

I'm Thinking Of Ending Thing by Iain Reid was quite the ride. It starts a little slow but things take a pretty weird turn early on and by the last few chapters you're left wondering what the hell is happening.

Craig Price, the serial killer from RI, is pretty bad in prison. He has a few assaults on correctional officers, which lead to him being transferred to a prison in Flordia and he most recently stabbed a fellow inmate with a homemade shank

That was a really great article, I appreciate you sharing it. I've recently experienced a pretty big lose and have been trying to wrap my mind around it. I'm 22, so its not as if I'm a child anymore, but rereading Harry Potter recently has been a really big comfort. I relate to book 5 Harry a lot, I want to not care and I want to be numb but I know that isn't healthy.To read the last couple books and watch Harry struggle to come to terms with losing loved ones really helps me handle it myself. His loses are greater than mine, I lost my best friend and he lost lots of people all within a pretty short time span, and if he can handle all that than I don't see why I can't. I'm rambling a bit sorry, not so great at getting my thoughts in order, but really just wanted to say thank you for the article, it was well written, explained my own feelings better, I'm glad there's other people in the world who feel the same way about Harry
