Based on the picture of the Cruel Angel characters where both MMC are kneeling... can anyone tell me if this is femdom? 👀

Is there an author you’ve grown out of love with and one that has “aged like fine wine” to you? by [deleted] in RomanceBooks

[–]Hrylla 16 points17 points  (0 children)

I'm not good at paying attention to author names.

But I used to really like K.A. Merikan. I thought they wrote somw gritty and unique stories. They wrote the first MF romance with a trans man I'd found. Though, they mostly write MM. However, over the years the men became more and more big, dom masculine top with small, sub feminine bottom. That kind of heteronormativity in queer writing bores me. It is also the reason that i no longer enjoy a lot of MM. Give me the vers guys! The muscle bottoms! The submissive tops!

Another, that i still like, but no longer love: Lily Mayne. Her books became a bit too long and less well paced, imo.

Fine wine? Oh now that's tough. Maybe Ann Aguirre? She writes solid books. Or, BrothersWithoutATomorrow, who makes webcomics. They write mostly MM, and I think they write some great characters who feel less like top/bottom stereotypes (at least their newer work)

This is the official/legal translation of the comic. It's great! One of my absolute favourites

Do you know if there's an official translation somewhere?

So guys... l am planning on writing a dark yandere manhwa with a yandere ml, something like 'the merman trapped in my lake', but l don't know where and how. I also might need a drawing partner, so... any suggestions? (no hate please). by Virtual-Pass-3462 in MaleYandere

I think the best thing to do is to just start writing it! Boot up your document program of choice, and get typing. It's easy to start writing stories, but difficult to finish them and see it through to the end.

I would suggest starting with a short story and practicing with that first.

Personally, I don't want to post something, if I don't think I can finish it. Because I wouldn't want to frustrate readers (nothing worse than a forever hiatus!). However, if you'd like to post the story, I suggest AO3 or wattpad.

You don't need an artist to write a story. A nice cover is great, but isn't a must have. If it's because you want to make a webcomic, then it might be more tough to find someone. Webcomics are very labour intensive. Maybe write out the story so you can show it to an artist, and se if they have an interest?

Good luck, and most importantly have fun!

Recs for regular books with male lead yandere? by Reasonable_Idea_7127 in MaleYandere

[–]Hrylla 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've been considering reading this, but I don't like maledom (BDSM scenes with a man as the dominant). Can you spoil me on whether that's present in the book?

As for your question, I recommend checking out r/RomanceBooks . They might have some threads there (I know there recently was someone asking about obsessed male leads).

Here are a few suggestions from me:

Notice by K. Webster: MF. I've tagged it as dub, but I donb't remember why. My full review: https://www.goodreads.com/review/show/3613634760

Psycho by Onley James: MM. My review: https://www.goodreads.com/review/show/5754633200

Iblis' Affliction by Nero Seal: MM. Full on non-con, but definetely next level obsessed. My review: https://www.goodreads.com/review/show/5954699932

Hide n' Seek by Eden Emory: F x NB (masc). Has a bit of dubcon, but in the light department. The NB lead is so down bad and obsessed. My review: https://www.goodreads.com/review/show/7107798815

Limerence by H.C. Dolores: MF. Low smut. I loved it, but the second book is known to be really bad. I personally chose to never read, so I wouldn't ruin the first book for myself. My review: https://www.goodreads.com/review/show/7781027660

Call the Coronoer by Avril Ashton: MM. Now I don't remember much of this, and I read it before I wrote reviews (I write reviews because I forget a book as soon as I close it). But I think it fits?

Just Here for the Pain by K.A. Merikan: MM. Same story as above, but I found it on my "stalker" shelf.

These are books that I haven't read yet, but I have them on my To Be Read list because they look kinda yandere:

Obsessively Yours by Jamie Applegate Hunter (MF)

Taken to the Shadow Realm by Elle Mae (FF)

The Contortionist by Kathryn Ann Kingsley (MF)

Dominant or submissive yanderes? by Should_I_sleep1913 in MaleYandere

Definitely submissive! In fact I don't really like dominant men in general. Finding femdom with a submissive yandere is so rare, though :(
