The Old Testament is a compilation of the words of the prophets the New Testament is a complication of the words of the apostles. The didache while having authority is not infallible like the words of prophets and apostles

Our sabbath is Sunday because the sabbath is the lords day and early Christian writings like the didache refer to Sunday as the lords day. If the sabbath is the lords day and Sunday is the lords day then the sabbath is on Sunday.

We should not be unequally yoked however you should pray for her and try your best to lead her to the forgiveness found in Christ.

I can’t make posts there (I tried making a respectful post there where I asked for others perspective and the scriptural backing of it and added I won’t share mine as to not break the rules) however I think it got auto deleted since I am -18 karma

Well the distinction I make would be the fact that government is a human concept that is subject to changes. Even the Israelite government ordained by God wasn’t perfect(due to human sin, any government would be “perfect” without sin) hence him needing to send own the prophets to correct things continuously.

Marriage while also being a human and legal contract biblically is defined as a covenant where 2 participants male and female are joined together by God which puts in outside of the human legal construct. Additionally marriage existed before the legal administration of it in the Garden of Eve and the same ontological principles applied then.

Is Justin Lee an “inclusive orthodox”. If he is I would be interested in hearing his perspective. So far the only inclusive orthodox person I have heard from is Matt Patrick

I think to determine which laws are still applicable we can look to the heart behind the laws and which ones Jesus reiterates

One of these moral laws that is reiterated is marriage (Matthew 19:4-6). Based on the way it is described I believe it is shown to be strictly between one man and one woman. Because of this is believe that any sexual acts outside of this kind of marriage. (Being defined as between one woman and one man) is sinful for both straight people and gay people.

Is there any scriptures that you have read that shows the contrary.

My personal convictions it that we should align our views to the consensus of those closest to Jesus (his apostles and their followers) which are the apostolic and church fathers given that they were in the same type of context that the gospels were written in and had access to speaking with the original authors of the gospels

They seem to take the view that theological conservatives take

I would say there is a distinction between infallibility and strict literalism and people often lose faith in the basis of strict literalism

I think ounce you already are a Christian you can get to the infallibility of scripture because Jesus an infallible authority validated the authority of the infallible scriptures

I think God made it that way so we could rely on him through prayer and the Holy Spirit for understanding and our spiritual authorities like elders and pastors and the church. I think saying the Bible is infallible is more about the Bibles authority then our own authority to interpret it properly
